I thought i would have a crack at a classic image here, rights of passage and all, or something…which is a lot harder than it first looks. The original is so strong and a symbolic image, so yeah i found it hard. I most like the title i came up with for this one. - The quote in the title, ” One mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist ”, i once heard a friend of mine say about Che Guevara…not sure if it was his quote or not, but either way it always stuck in my head…yes, if i really wanted to know i would google it! / Anyway, i thought i would try and capture those polar opposites here by creating a Rorschach Test (Ink Blot), Grim Reaper vs Che, one looks up, the other looks down, text forward then backwards…you get the gist! - Anyway enjoy!

ORIGINAL FOR SALE $1399 plus P&H Pen and Ink on smooth surfaced paper. Can’t remember what type – walked into the artshop and ran my fingers over the surface until I found one I liked, with the gsm to match. The picture won the Jean Eales Memorial Prize, three firsts in various divisions and best in show. The four alpacas are from my friends farm and are as individualistic as the picture portrays. The big black one at the front, Zack, has covered me with green slime on more than one occasion! I was initially going to use a roadmap from a part of Israel…but then I figured it would better to use Texas! Just not sure why? hmm…hehe Road map for peace The “road map” for peace is a plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict proposed by a “quartet” of international entities: the United States, the European Union, Russia, and the United Nations. The principles of the plan were first outlined by U.S. President George W. Bush in a speech on June 24, 2002, in which he called for an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace: “The Roadmap represents a starting point toward achieving the vision of two states, a secure State of Israel and a viable, peaceful, democratic Palestine. It is the framework for progress towards lasting peace and security in the Middle East…” Definition from Wikipedia I never was any good at folding maps back up… / Now there is only 999 more cranes to make…till world peace!

I like to admit i have hope in the changes taking place in America. I normally don’t align so politically like this, but here i feel it is due. Truth be told only time will tell if one man can bring all the embodied hopes for positive changes to an entire nation without too much compromise. I admit to normally being the first to use america as a symbol of excess. But here i see a symbol of success…and where there is hope i see fit to encourage it. And that was a great quote! Cheers NFA.

...Nii nahii’maa at’e, ya nahiika’ee at’e. / The earth is our Mother, the sky is our Father. ...I wanted to portray the soft side of the Apache Nation & with this beautiful Photo Tom Broderick IPA .. sent me of his beloved Mother ‘Rosa’ ... who is an Aztec Apache woman, it was easy …Apache woman ..In physical appearance the Apache vary greatly, but are rather above the medium height. They are good talkers, are not readily deceived, and are honest in protecting property placed in their care. Being a nomadic people the women attained high skill in making baskets. Their dwellings were shelters of brush, which were easily erected by the women and were well adapted to their arid environment and constant shifting…a first experimental collaboration. featured in ‘True Potential’ .
