An illustration of a grand old cat that stayed with me for a while when we lived in Canberra: Amadeus. This sketch is how i think he would have viewed himself.
AMADEUS MOZART [2008]: PhotoMontage of inferrrably the quintessential master of the Classical genre in music. Most people who do enjoy the music of Mozart take for granted the struggle and passion that this genius had to endure from the cradle to his grave. Amadeus the human being was nothing more than a womanizing lonely alcoholic. During Mozart’s lifetime the composer had met, had known and had seen many countless individuals. But yet upon his eleventh hour in this existence, there were less than a dozen of them by his side. In fact, there were no more than 10 friends and acquaintances attended his shameful funeral. Whereas his counterpart, another great composer of the classics during that timespan in history, especially in the history of Classical music, by the name of Beethoven—whose funeral was attended by at least ten thousand [10,000] fans, friends, students and admirers. Ironic ain’t it?
