  • Me and my love
    by Peter Zentjens

    US$3.42–US$91.20

I seriously doubt that anybody is going to buy a grainy card, poster or print of ugly old me but I nevertheless wanted to share this work with you. ;) / It’s one of those works that in real life gets tons of reactions when people see it hanging on our wall. I’m curious to see whether it will provoke any reactions here on this wonderful art community. In truth, this is only half the artwork. The other half has agreed to being upload to redbubble too, so, here she is:

  • I’m up to my old tricks again! I’m now truly hooked on the Forgotten Postcard concept. I went digging through my old photos today to find some that I wasn’t altogether happy with to see what could be done. Venice is one of those timeless, European cities. I haven’t had the best of luck photographing it as both times I’ve been there the weather has been horrid. This particular shot was pretty drab and boring. Hopefully it’s a bit more interesting now :)

  • My love and me
    by Peter Zentjens

    US$3.42–US$91.20

The second installment of this duo portrait. A while ago I upload my self portrait, which is actually only half the artwork. I wasn’t sure the other half would be comfortable with her picture being on a website like redbubble but when she saw that I uploaded mine she said that those 2 should never ever be parted. She is right. The “she” I’m talking about, the beautiful girl in this image, was my girlfriend. Today, so many years later, she is my lovely wife. These 2 portraits grace our entrance hall and get a lot of reaction so I really wanted to upload them to redbubble although I don’t think that they are likely to be bought. So now, with my wives approval, .... Here is the other portrait from the duo: /

  • Jacks Hallowe'en fire
    by dimarie

    US$4.99–US$133.00

The carved pumpkin, lit by a candle inside, is one of Halloween’s most prominent symbols. / These lanterns are usually carved from a turnip or swede (or more uncommonly a mangelwurzel). / The jack-o’-lantern can be traced back to the Irish legend of Stingy Jack, a greedy, gambling, hard-drinking old farmer. / He tricked the devil into climbing a tree and trapped him by carving a cross into the tree trunk. / In revenge, the devil placed a curse on Jack, condemning him to forever wander the earth at night. This story has been passed down through generations of Irish families. / The carving of pumpkins is associated with Halloween in North America, where pumpkins were readily available and much larger, making them easier to carve than turnips. Many families that celebrate Halloween carve a pumpkin into a frightening or comical face and place it on their home’s doorstep after dark. In America the tradition of carving pumpkins is known to have preceded the Great Famine period of Irish immigration. / The tradition of carving vegetable lanterns may have been brought over by the Scottish or English—documentation is unavailable to establish when or by whom. The carved pumpkin was originally associated with harvest time in general in America and did not become specifically associated with Halloween until the mid-to-late 19th century. / -From Wikipedia / Halloween work details – Original is acrylic painting which I’ve altered (alot) in ps with airbrush, burn and dodge tools, some smudging and color changes. / Original painting- Cheeky Jack / also available on a tshirt / ““http://www.redbubble.com/people/dimarie/clothing/1072798-1-jacks-fire-tee thankyou for taking the time to view my art and (hopefully) comment… / please have a look at my other artwork… / hope you enjoy! :) /

  • Water
    by James Even

    US$3.42–US$91.20

I just started using photoshop since about November, and decided that even though there are a lot of close up altered eye shots, they are fun to play around with, so I am, haha. This is basically an image of my eye (harder to take than I though it would be) that I desaturated then used the history brush to pull the color back into the iris. The texture is a macro image of a leaf that I desaturated, inverted and cranked the contrast on, overlaying the image of the eye. Then I used a mask to clear any texture from the actual eye and made a watery sphere and fit it into the pupil. A gradient from the bottom right to left top and a little burn here and there and there we have it.

  • Morgan
    by James Even

    US$3.42

“Morgan” was created using Photomatrix to create the HDR that makes up the majority of the image and the rest (orton effect, layering, etc) is done in Photoshop. It is a merging of three photographs (the overall image of the crypt, the image I sized into the doorway and an image of clouds for the fog) and a sphere I created from scratch using the Polar Coorinates distortion filter and a rendered lens flare. I then dodged areas to give the effect of the light coming out of the crypt. As this is one of if not the largest project to date I have tried, constructive criticism is more than welcome. I thoroughly enjoy piecing together images and creating moods and scenes like this and any feedback to make it even better is welcome. I tend to do things through trial and error more than ctual knowledge, but if you see something you like and would like for me to go into more detail on how I did it, feel free to ask and I will describe the process as best as I can. Thanks.
