THIS PHOTO WAS NOT TAKEN BY ME, IT WAS TAKEN BY MY DAD! / I HAVE HIS PERMISSION TO UPLOAD IT!! I wish I had taken it, as I think it is a fabulous shot! It was taken at Trotters animal Park in Cumbria the other day, I took loads of photo’s, but didn’t get anything good enough to post on here :( Because the animals were that far away and behind fences etc my lense just wasn’t big enough to get close up, whereas my Dad’s lens on the other hand is just HUGE!! I call it his Paparazzi lense! I had a serious case of ‘Lens Envy’!! My Dad is the reason I got into Photography in the first place and you can see why! I can only strive to be as good as him and he is the BEST teacher ever!! (Obviously, if this image should sell, I won’t make any money out of it, any profits will be given straight to my Dad (so he can save up for me a BIG lens too….Only joking about that last part!!)
This photo was taken back in 2007 at an Alpaca show in Nebraska.
ORIGINAL FOR SALE $1399 plus P&H Pen and Ink on smooth surfaced paper. Can’t remember what type – walked into the artshop and ran my fingers over the surface until I found one I liked, with the gsm to match. The picture won the Jean Eales Memorial Prize, three firsts in various divisions and best in show. The four alpacas are from my friends farm and are as individualistic as the picture portrays. The big black one at the front, Zack, has covered me with green slime on more than one occasion! They are truly extraordinary animals and I just love their cheeky, inquisitive natures:) Enjoy:) / Bright Blessings, / Marg The original framed artwork, which won the Jean Eales Memorial Award, First in Show, First in Section, First Overall in Show, is for sale. I love alpacas – these guys are well known to me – they live on a farm in Woori Yallock in Victoria, Australia. They have names and personalities! This is from a multi-award winning drawing…
Cusco, Peru´ 2007! My little friends Flor and Yolanda while having an ice cream with their lovely alpaca..!!
Taken at a local Alpaca farm which is full of mothers and babies at present.
This little alpaca has such a grumpy look upon his face, but he was quite sweet. This image featured in the group You big Softy in August 2009. Many thanks!
lol another one of these gorgeous creatures!! Just a baby one!! / Love those eyes!! Painted in Corel painter using wacom tablet. Photo used for reference .. close up of detail.. /
Like many girls i found this one paired with a baby alpaca with her mother selling their wares on the steep roadsides of the Colca Canyon in Peru, i enjoy the contrast between her stern distant expression and the mischief going on behind her back, which, moments later made her crack up with laughter.
“And see here? She falls down the rabbit hole! How clumsy.” Watercolour and ink illustration of a little girl and her Alpaca doing some reading.
Inquisitive alpaca in mono.
This is a mother Alpaca and her cria from Riverside Alpaca Farm in Cave Junction, Oregon. www.suri-futures.com / This is my first time visiting this farm and I got to witness a baby be born, it was awesome :-) / Thanks to the hosts of All Soft and Cuddlies and Nude Pets for featuring this image! / / / Suri alpacas are distinguished in the camelid family by their unique fiber characters. The fiber grows parallel to the body while hanging in long, separate, distinctive locks. Its artistic style enhances the graceful appearance of the animal compared to the soft, wooly look of huacaya alpacas. Suri fiber locks, made up of high-luster fibers, drape down the sides of the body in a twisted or flat form of various size. Suri fiber has a slick hand and softness with an exquisite luster. Suri fiber is in demand and consistently brings a premium price in the fiber market. Suri alpacas emanate extraordinary vigor, intelligence, ease of breeding, and adaptability to hot and cold climates. These attributes rank high on the list of many reasons for treasuring Suri alpacas.
These two lovely alpaca were so inquisitive as i stood quietly in the pasture. What a fun time standing among the herd and having them brush up against me and nuzzling…... I wished that that time had never ended!!! Really fun!!!!! Canon Rebel EOS XTi with macro lens.
This alpaca looks like it is smiling at the little fly. How could you not love this face Taken at Wings & A Prayer Alpacas in Amity, Oregon.
