Am I allowed to do this? Had to do it, While I had to get up at 0245GMT for work and drive my trains, my wife Donna, went on a church walk with the boys as well to Elterwater in the English lake district and she took my pride and joy, only cause I know she has the eye! and she helps me bin the rubbish shots I have taken, she’s learnt from me and yes I was sweating that she took my camera, so this is one of her shots, I processed it in HDR style to get the most detail, I am pretty proud of her, I think she has done a great job of this shot, no cropping whatsoever, well spotted, well I am congratulating her anyway.here’s Donnas shot. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens / /

A sailboat folded out of a 6×10mm piece of paper rowing along the lifeline in my palm. Wow I didn’t realize my hand had all these lines :P. I didn’t turn this into a black and white this time because I managed to get a cool light on my hand to make it more waterlike. The flow of life is parrallel to a journey off the land. It begins smooth, then the waves of adulthood brings high tides which we must overcome, However at the end of the ride, everything is smooth again. Ironically the lifeline in my palm depicts this flow; it begins smooth, then there is a big split and begin to ruffle, but towards the end it comes back together again. Pastel on Colourfix paper (burgundy) 35cm x 50cm I hi-jacked this painting from the wall of my very good friend Sandra Wilson (Mrswillow on Redbubble) yesterday so that I could take a photograph. She very kindly bought this at a solo exhibition I held in 2005! (My Easel and Eye at Heathcote Winery) The river was rushing along fairly quickly at the time I did the painting, and the water was quite clear, so it was a challenge to depict the movement and the clarity of the water.
