This was created around the time the war in Iraq started. All I could think about was the women over there who are treated as if they aren’t even human, let alone alive. They live as shadows moving among violent men. How low their spirits must be. How sad their hearts must feel. Imagine giving birth to a female child in that country. Knowing their life is going to be hidden under cloth. Like nothing more than a sheet on a mattress.

It seems like it’s just a part of life, an everyday thing that people get so comfortable walking by a lady begging on the street in Paris Any funds sold from this image will go towards my charity which I am raising money for- International Childrens Care- an aid organisation that runs orphanages in several countries around the world- the difference with them being they are based more on foster care set up where kids live with 2 parents and several other children instead of dorm style or regular orphange set ups.
