  • for Now here’s my darkside “My Darkside” seeks to explore issues of identity and meaning and the questioning of one’s life and purpose over time and beyond time. There is deliberate loneliness and isolation as the viewer is invited to journey in the small boat in the moonlight of her face. Ancient Middle Eastern cultures regarded the blood as dirty, and women were shunned or confined to small dark rooms for the duration of menstruation. / .. / I learned to prize my time alone, / I knew I was more / I became more alone, / darkness became me / My Spirit got large / My Freedom, / desired / above all else / I am my Freedom. / alone in the dark / I began the journey.
