Time has passed, another day / Where flights are flown and fledglings play / And faces light up in the sun / To welcome time that has begun Whilst busy, working on the wing / Foraging, for food to bring / To make the most of daylight hours / Feeding around scented flowers Yet soon the time will come to hide / To wrap up warm and stay inside / For peril does Dark’s company keep / Where hunters have no need to sleep So off we fly, in harmony / Then search on for a sanctuary / We dance the sky and sing a song / Evening nigh, it won’t be long And as I wait for night to draw / Protected here from tooth and claw / Cooped up in this tiny space / I’m safe within my secret place. Thanks very much Julie Langford

photomanipulation (software: Photoshop 7). Used 8 my photos. A darling little girl in such a scary place…
I took this shot in Nice, France. The original shot was non-digital, so I took a digital photo of the shot and tried a blue tint. I kind of like it this way…it’s like he’s a detective and only The Shadow Knows…for sure. :) / I originally caption titled the photo: / Pondering My Past, Present & Future / (seems like this chap could be doing that as well). When we are sad we feel insignificant…. spaced out – and can’t see the glorious world in front of our faces… just for a moment… and then it passes and you see it all again…. this image represents that moment in time, with a pure expanse of aesthetics in front of the figure completely lost in his own sadness. _and for an insight by Andrew Walker into the very creative mind and inner workings of the vanzella mind read the following

This photo was taken in 2007 at Karnak temple (Egypt. Africa). The Karnak temple complex, universally known only as Karnak, describes a vast conglomeration of ruined temples, chapels, pylons and other buildings. It is located near Luxor in Egypt. This was ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut (“The Most Selected of Places”), the main place of worship of the Theban Triad with Amun as its head, in the monumental city of Thebes. The complex retrieves its current name from the nearby and partly surrounding modern village of el-Karnak, some 2.5km north of Luxor. / The complex is a vast open-air museum and the largest ancient religious site in the world. It is probably the second most visited historical site in Egypt, second only to the Giza Pyramids near Cairo. It consists of four main parts (precincts) of which only one is accessible for tourists and the general public. This is the Precinct of Amun-Re, and this it is also the main part of the complex and by far the largest part. The term Karnak is often understood as being the Precinct of Amun-Re only, as this is the only part most visitors normally see. The three other parts, the Precinct of Montu, the Precinct of Mut and the Temple of Amenhotep IV (dismantled), are closed to the public. There also are a few smaller temples and sanctuaries located outside the enclosing walls of the four main parts, as well as several avenues of human and ram-headed sphinxes connecting the Precinct of Mut, the Precinct of Amon-Re, and Luxor Temple. / The key difference between Karnak and most of the other temples and sites in Egypt is the length of time over which it was developed and used. Construction work began in the 16th century BC. Approximately thirty pharaohs contributed to the buildings, enabling it to reach a size, complexity, and diversity not seen elsewhere. Few of the individual features of Karnak are unique, but the size and number of features are overwhelming. have always wanted to capture a big plane landing but could never be there at the right time or having the wind blowing in the right direction. The low clouds helps bring the plane closer than usual….i could almost touch it….hahhah. To see a hugh metal flying over you at approx. 200kph is…...priceless. The jetfuel, the noise…...Perfect. I am NOT a plane enthusiast , but it is fascinating to watch. Sydney “Kingsford Smith” Airport Boeing 747 landing train plane truck car chair Transportation

...sister / san pedro, ca I just wanted say a little more about this. / Thank you all for the wonderful comments. Im always trying to learn and be a better photographer but its hard to do so with an old 6mp didgital camera and no photoshop. This was taken in Friendship Park, San Pedro, Ca. (the outter rim of Los Angeles. It was very hot that day, with a very dissapointing overcast so i couldnt see Catalina Island. I never take model pictures, so i told my sister to poser for one. The shot came out clear but hazy. We were above the Port of Los Angeles by hundreds on feet (vertical) in the shoreside fog so it appears as she is inside of it. I hated the shot and was going to delete it. But i instead turned it B&W and got rid of the distracting fauna by adding corner blurs from iphoto. It also darkened her face, as she IS looking at the camera. Thanks For Your Support! GBU
2008. Age 21. “Glancing up at the stars I feel comforted by the enchanting tapestry; a beautiful contrast of sparkling silvers attached to a black sky. It is darkness tantalized with mystery, and shares the emptiness I feel in my heart.” Ready to Die… Thank you for looking.
