I was sitting on this Turkey Vulture waiting to capture a typical Vulture launch from this tree stub when, KA-POW!... , a Red Shouldered Hawk swooped down and knocked this Vulture off his branch. I was stunned to see this same hawk do it again seconds later. / Nothing like good neighbors on the street I guess!

AFTER PHOTOGRAPHING BALD EAGLES ALL MORNING ON MY WAY HOME FOR LUNCH I SAW A OPOSSUM ROAD KILL IN THE ROAD WITH A ALLIGATOR ABOUT TEN FEET FROM HIM, THE ROAD WAS FULL OF BUISY TRAFFIC. I TURNED AROUND QUICK AS I COULD CAME BACK TO CAPTURE THE LARGE ALLIGATOR RETRIEVEING THE OPOSSUM AND HEAD TO THE NORTH SAVANNAH WITH HIS LUNCH. THIS PHOTOGRAPH WAS TAKEN ON INDRIO ROAD FT PIERCE FLORIDA A BLOCK WEST OF THE VERY BUISY INTERSECTION OF INDRIO AND US#1 MY CAMERA WAS MY NEW CANON XSI MY LENSE WAS MY TAMRON AUTO FOCUS 28 TO 300 MM MY LENSE SETTINGS WERE F 7.1 AT 1/500 MY ISO WAS 200 FOOCAL LENGTH WAS 300 MM THIS WAS AN AWSOME SIGHT TO SEE A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE AND I WAS THE ONLY ONE WITH A CAMERA AND NO ONE ELSE IN SIGHT. Thank you Kathy for explaining how to use the filters in my camera to change the colors in Monochrome mode, I tried it out on this image and and I think it looks pretty neat. Not only is she my friend, she is a great inperation to me in my works, I have learned so much from her, even before I met her face to face, the first time I saw Kathy’s photos I knew one day I wanted to be as good as her, well I am still waiting but I ave made vast improvements, she is probably going to kick my azz when she reads this but she will get over it.
