This is the good twin image of Unholy Alliance I wanted to post both of these images to illustrate that perception is everything. Some of you will see this one first, others will have seen Unholy Alliance first. I think first impressions are where its at. I would be interested to see who likes which one best. I love them both, I think side by side they represent the duality we all have within us. Its just that most times we dont show all of ourselves to everyone.
In a quiet corner of Portsmouth sits a small museum to the men and machines of the Royal Navy Submarine Service. Part of the Museum is an A-class Diesel electric submarine. It missed active service in WW2 but got to star in a James Bond movie! I worked on submarines, words cannot describe the smell and taste, a mix of diesel oil, salt water and 100 men living without enough water to wash properly. Let alone the cramped living conditions. I was once told (so it must be true) that there are only two ‘jobs’ worse than being a submariner, they were, tramp and prostitute. it’s not a ship, its a boat.

When the lake is full this area is completely underwater, but during the drought the lake has got down as low as 2.5% of its capacity.

Rebel Alliance symbol with a deconstructed look. *revised: After getting one myself I have shifted the design up a fraction and made the symbol slightly more red as it came out a bit brown originally. Please check out my other work:

Grafton Underwood Airfield A Photographic view of RAF Grafton Underwood 2008, also known as USAAF Station 106, Opened in 1941. Declared Surplus in 1959, and now reclaimed by nature. Although today, the majority of Grafton Underwood Airfield has been returned to agricultural use, and most of the site has now crumbled away, Some buildings still remain, in varying condition, evidence is still very visible of its occupancy throughout the war. This work is dedicated to the men and women, who served, lived and died, at these now redundant / demolished and forgotten Airfields, which played such an integral part of the war effort.
A humanoid species from the Garwather in the Romuv Quadrant in the Seventh System. / Another technologically advanced world. Comparison would be Earth in the 24th Century. They are the arch enemy of the Severa, whom we have had dealings with on a number of occasions. / Recommend trade and strategic negotiations as soon as possible. / Created in Photoshop. Two photos ( yes one that I have used before and some of the shapes) were combined as well as layered, mainly in Lighten mode, shapes and textures. Distorting the shapes to suit the image was an important task of course. One of the photos was segmented and only small parts were used. / Involved close on forty layers and approximately four hours.

The Flodden Wall, a defensive structure built around Edinburgh, Scotland after the disastrous Battle of Flodden (1513), in which King James IV was killed. The construction was a response to threatened English invasion after a war started by James in support of the French and the Auld Alliance. Although construction continued into the middle of the 16th-century, the hurriedly-conceived project offered little protection when the Protector Somerset sacked Edinburgh during the Rough Wooing. Its main effect, before being dismantled from the middle of the 17th-century, was to restrict the southern development of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Today, the wall is best seen at two locations; in the Vennel to the west of the Grassmarket (where this shot was taken) and on the west side of the Pleasance turning up Drummond Street, where it originally enclosed the Blackfriar’s Monastery. In the centre of the shot is the majestic bulk of Edinburgh Castle which dominates the city of Edinburgh like no other castle in Scotland, and Edinburgh Castle is unequalled in the whole of the British Isles. Over one thousand years of history sit on top of the famous Edinburgh rock. (References from Wikipedia) Three bracketed JPGs converted to HDR in Photomatix.
