Find links to the other photos in this series by going to Journal ‘Photos of Paris’ Series Night Scenes in Paris / Walking home each evening from dinner in the Latin Quarter, we saw Paris lights-by-night. In the first of these images, the eerie post-sunset-light bathed sandstone buildings in a soft blue, complimented by a rich sulfur glow from street lamps. For this time-exposure shot, the camera sitting on part of the building opposite. Photoshop revealed almost-invisible detail, hidden in dark shadows. The second image was taken close to midnight in silent and almost deserted streets. I love the warm glow of street lights, bathing walls and reflecting on textured stony street surfaces.
