This image is dedicated to all our miliary men and women who have fought and are currently fighting so we may have freedom. Sept.11, 2001 was 6 years ago today. A day the world will never forget. Many brave men and woman gave their all. Let us not ever forget them…
An Oregon squirrel stands for a patriotic gesture before game time. Fuzzy Fur watches all the Ducks vs. Beavers games on the backyard TV. OK, I know what you’re thinking: WHAT flag, kind sir? So all right, YOU don’t see a flag, I don’t see a flag. But when the lights go up in the stadium and the Ducks and the Beavers square off, there’s got to be a flag somewhere. So Fuzzy salutes, mostly out of habit. Then he climbs the pergola to get a better view.

A giant American Flag. A flag of freedom in which many have given their lives to protect. A flag to be honored and held close to the hearts of all Americans. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. Once I realized there was a flag pole at Carnegie Park in Livermore, I looked up just as the wind was starting to blow. This is the result of standing there for 5 minutes and shooting 23 pictures just to get one I would like.
sometimes just a thank you helps!

Don’t, for a second, get me wrong – I love this country, and I am very blessed to have been born here. BUT, there’s another side to America that I feel needs to be addressed… I haven’t completely figured it out, but this might be the beginning of it. I was inspired, in part, by Shane Claiborne’s book, The Irresistable Revolution This pledge was also meant to be partnered with my image, The United States of Avarice
