This is my cousin’s holiday farmhouse in Maine – New England Region USA. It is about 150 years old and made up of many parts which were added over its life. None of the floors are level and it has a meandering internal layout with narrow staircases and low cielings.
Original Photo © jwarburton 07. Post work in PSP. Someone mentioned on another site that she remembers being asked a test question in grammar school, “does the Statue Of Liberty really have sandals on her feet?” Yes, she has sandals on her feet, she’s moving forward with one foot lifted. She has the mark of the early Romans (toes) still visible in many people today – second toe is longer than big toe and little toe is “hammered”. :) “Is the Statue of Liberty in New York or New Jersey?” The statue is part of New York Harbor and sits in Liberty State Park which is in Jersey City, New Jersey. The statue is actually in New Jersey. New York Harbor includes the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the first stop for all immigrants (1892 – 1954) who arrived in New York by boat. ...it wasn’t easy on this one. I had to wait until it was clear of tourtists. And I was lucky that the guy didn’t choose to leave from his position here. I have no clue who he is…but I’m wondering if he invested with ‘Bernie Madoff’...just to find some alone time to be ‘away from it all’. This photo was taken while at the midpoint of the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline backdrop.

/ / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for
