“Forest Path“ I sure enjoy finding the old log roads, and strolling through the autumn forest, it so much easier walking, and for enjoying the beauty of autumn the forest. This log road was like walking through a magic tunnel of multicolor lights, as the forest canopy covered its pathway. / Taken in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains, Withrow Springs State Park. Fall 2007. / This years leaves seemed to have more pastel colors, compared to the bold colors of the previous years…. / Canon PowerShot S3 IS /

“Winter Frost” Cold frosty morning on the mountain. / Arkansas, USA “As you walk along the trail in the midst of soft shadows in the morning light, breathing deeply the crisp cold air of autumn sweetness, you enter the clearing beyond the trees. A warm band of sunshine illuminates the field, and highlighting the golden and scarlet colours of autumn and setting the frost sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight” (Sharon Anne Mau, 2008). / 9 16 09 Placed 5th in challenge, What are you drawn too In LIVE, AND LET LIVE Canon PowerShot S3 IS 6 MPX /

Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. As you contemplate your day’s end, is all well with your soul? / / Hope you like! Add me to your watch list now / My Bubblesite

Emerald Paradise As Is… / Canon PowerShot S3 IS Rainbow Springs Florida’s third largest spring, Rainbow Springs pump 600 million gallons of water daily and serves as the head water to the pristine Rainbow River. The property was acquired by the State Park Service in 1990 and is slowly being allowed to revert to its natural state. / Beautiful floral gardens surround the spring, and the area is immensely popular in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom. The state also acquired Rainbow Springs State Campground, located nearby, which was formerly privately owned. From the campground, you can tube or canoe the crystalline waters of Rainbow River, or fish for large mouth bass and other freshwater species. / A nature trail provides a lovely walk past two waterfalls and the azalea gardens, and meanders along the Rainbow River. / /

Beauty Of A Thorn This well-known thistle is a true nightmare to all the local farmers. At one point I think there was even a law passed saying that people could be fined if it was found growing unchecked on their property. / It is such an invasive plant that it will take over an entire pasture or field, and farm animals won’t/can’t eat it, and it’s a real problem in the hay. / On the other hand, its a blessing for the many butterflies that migrate through this area, and it provides much-needed food and energy for the pretty little creatures that have such long flights ahead of them, or maybe are just at the end of their life spans. / I have also noticed that hummingbirds love it as well. Being a photographer, I do love its exotic blooms and the many photo opportunities it provides. / The sad but true thing is, the only way to control it is to destroy it completely! It’s amazing that something so beautiful and so useful for the nectar lovers, is also such a thorn in the side for the farmers. / Photo taken along a road side in NW Arkansas, USA. / / nurture / The act of nourishing or nursing; tender care; education; training; That which nourishes; food; diet; The environmental influences that contribute to the development of an individual; see also nature; to nourish or nurse / en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nurture Media – pencil and photoshop / Substrate – paper I can’t explain this, ‘cept to say, it’s inspired by our connection with nature and the fragility of life itself sometimes, the message coming through is to nurture life by way of fostering goodwill toward one another and accepting we have a duty of care to our natural world also. Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

.’Enter the Faerie Forest where all the secret spirits & creatures live. Dark & menacing, whispers and rustling. Something calling, beckoning you on, strange sounds emerging from the depths.Hold tight to the railings as you walk along the bridge, who is that at the end is it Angel or Daemon..is it a leap of faith I see before me?.... This wondrous poem by kind permission of sweetForestGirl “Through the dark to the light / of the Angel / on the other side … / Let the Spirit of the Forest / Be your Guardian / and your Guide … / Save us from the treacherous / the ones who seek / to see us fail and fall / Find the beauty and the truth / that is waiting / at the end…for us all”.... .?guess the title?..solved by blamo ..am feeling full of mystery & enchantment today, so thought we could have some fun lookin’ for a title eh? lol! view LARGE & here’s a wee story to find the clues… ...Spirit ...Save the Rainforests ..a first experimental digital creation using redfield fractalius superimposing fantasy art …inspired by the song .. ...
/ My friend Amy’s Tattoo Sales of this design so far – 2 sales / / Soul Sisters below (click for more info) / / / The little Dreamer sits in her garden enjoying nature all around, dreaming up new ideas using her big imagination! Created from a pencil drawing, coloured digitally and adjustments made in Photoshop.
/ / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /
My first outing with my B+W 110 ND filter. I predict a big learning curve ahead… Location: Sisters Beach, Tasmania. I dreamed I was missing / You were so scared / But no one would listen / Cause no one else cared / After my dreaming / I woke with this fear / What am I leaving / When I’m done here / So if you’re asking me I want you to know [Chorus] / When my time comes / Forget the wrong that I’ve done / Help me leave behind some / Reasons to be missed / Don’t resent me / And when you’re feeling empty / Keep me in your memory / Leave out all the rest / Leave out all the rest Don’t be afraid / I’ve taking my beating / I’ve shared what I’ve made / I’m strong on the surface / Not all the way through / I’ve never been perfect / But neither have you / So if you’re asking me I want you to know [Chorus] / When my time comes / Forget the wrong that I’ve done / Help me leave behind some / Reasons to be missed / Don’t resent me / And when you’re feeling empty / Keep me in your memory / Leave out all the rest / Leave out all the rest Forgetting / All the hurt inside you learned to hide so well / Pretending / Someone else can come and save me from myself / I can’t be who you are [Chorus] / When my time comes / Forget the wrong that I’ve done / Help me leave behind some / Reasons to be missed / Don’t resent me / And when you’re feeling empty / Keep me in your memory / Leave out all the rest / Leave out all the rest Forgetting / All the hurt inside you learned to hide so well / Pretending / Someone else can come and save me from myself / I can’t be who you are / I can’t be who you are Lyrics by Linkin Park
