Having terraformed “Great Blue”,Deri’s Androids started to explore nearby systems. / They were looking for a system that had a number of colonizable planets ,the main reason for this was to find a hunting and fishing preserve for Deri’s father. / This human,filled with goodness,with his wife and children led them out of slavery in the Andromeda Galaxy.To find a better place. / And they found such a system,it had 5 planets,all the planets were very wild,each had oceans,wetlands,plains,mountains which held a vast range of wildlife. / The one planet they chose for his home was very rugged,and looked just like where he had grown up on Earth,it even had a moon like Great Blue. / The forces from the moon had pulled and stretched the landscape into countless contorted shapes. / Deri’s father would live here for eternity,surrounded by his hunting and fishing buddies.And if at some point in time they decided to do other things,such as development,tourism,guiding,on the other planets in the system,then the ships known as Goonies would be there for their use. / The system was called Skeetsaway. / The first planet to be colonized was called Cratis Oregonius,the moon was given the name Hoods Moon. / Here we have night descending as Hoods rises over the Cascadia Mountains. This is dedicated to Derid’s father.He as left this earth,and he waits for us on a distant world somewhere in a different future…............... In this rendering I used 2 of Derid’s images “Around Crater Lake” and “Blue Moon” David.

The badlands stretch for 4000 miles on Kraken Tor,you need a good map for treking though this,even then!!! / Legend as it there’s a City of the Ancients somewhere out there,some have looked / and some even came back. / Its a forbidding place at any time. WOW, talk about being in the moment, when I saw this scene I almost forgot to take any photo’s it was so tranquil. / The sea was like glass,with the Island before me and the moon above the spacedock at Almas Peak, all against a backdrop of the White Nebula. / What an incredible end to a perfect holiday. WOW

Here on Great Moona we pass in close orbit to Krill,the moon as a very thin atmosphere,it was used in the 2000 year war as a battle platform,and some wreckage still remains of that costly conflict.

I just found this very old photo of Peggy’s Cove,this was taken on Mariners World about 200 years ago. / Because of the violent storms generated by Nova Moon,it requires two lighthouses. / They do say except for the backdrop of the Scotia Mountains and the Nova Moon,this could be the original Earthly scene. I used Lucindawinds images “Tranquility” and “The Reason for Lighthouses”. Alienvisitor’s Imagi – Nation .......................................................................................................... Here’s a How I did it.! I went to Lucindawinds page and viewed her art,the two I picked out were…............. “Tranquility” and “The Reason for Lighthouses”. I then contacted her,got permission to use them and had her email high res. images. / She also gave me ownership of said images,to use in any creations. In this I used two photos, a render, 2 models creations, a number of layers and filters. / Software used Photoshop,Infinity-D,Artmatic Voyager. In Photoshop… I put both photos on transparent layers,In Tranquility I erased the most of the sky,in Lighthouses I removed everything but the rocks. I dragged the rock layer onto the Tranquility image and positioned it in the lower quadrant. / Then I took a good look and saw in my minds eye what I needed for a backdrop and also the colors. Leaving the image on the right side of the screen,I opened my 3D rendering program Artmatic Voyager ( this is a Mac only program) / I then spent about 4 hours building and rendering an Alien Background. I always render at the highest possible resolution and saving as a PICT file (on my machine that can take up to 6-7 hours,this one took 2 hours.) Closing the Artmatic program and reopening the render in Photoshop,I then dragged it onto the transparent layer. Now I needed lighthouses and I didn’t want to use the one in Lu’s image. / Needed something a bit more alien. So I opened Infinity-D,and built myself 2 lighthouses,saving as psd transparent files. Back in Photoshop I dragged and positioned both lighthouse layers onto the Tranquility photo. Then feathered and cloned all the edges of all layers until they were blended to my satisfaction. I then opened my filters and chose the “Old Photo Color” filter,tweeked,painted,erased the image then set the filter. The filters I use are nik Color Efex Pro. It still needed something…FOG.. Opened a “Graduated Fog” filter adding just a little fog with the paint brush on the horizon,this also goes aways to hiding any harsh edges in that area. Almost done… Added a bit of brilliance to the image. Thats it and well worth the effort…another fine alien creation. “May you always create well and prosper” Alienvisitor’s Imagi – Nation* David (AV)

On the world of Highland Home,we view the moons “Coigach and Ullapool” / The view is wonderful as evening falls on this scene named for its namesake / “Wester Ross” on the home world of Earth. / Highland Home was colonized by settlers from the Ullapool area, which lies in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth. And like its namesake its a great place for hikers and painters. A collaboration with *James Davison and myself. / I used Jimmy’s painting “Wester Ross”*

Somehow I just can’t get away from sunrise/sunsets, I think its a lot to do with the colors. / I sometimes amaze myself when playing with light & shadow,I wasn’t really going for this effect,but all of a sudden, it was there. This reminded me very much of the scenery along China’s Li river,yet the sun seems to say Japan, so I guess this is an oriental blend.

I remember when I was a small child my first view of Mount Nankeira, with a backdrop of stars. / I stood holding Nanna’s hand, feeling the the pull of the great unknown, and knowing that someday I would be exploring those same Nebulas and Stars. / Standing here at the edge of the Sundering Sea, the mountain was awesome, but more awesome was my future beyond. Here’s another reason space rocks…..............Slee Dragon Wings. What you may ask are Slee Dragon Wings, well’ SDW’s are the best delicacy in the know universe, and maybe in a few unknown ones as well. Every 70th turn of the moon “CandyRock”, the SD’s hatch in the gelitinous pink craters of said moon, they suck up the sweet pink nectar, and when their wings are thick and heavy, they lift off the surface. Once beyond the pull of the moon, they float in space until meeting the gravitational / pull of the planet Candy Wings, floating gently down through the atmosphere and pulled by the lure of the Big Rock Candy Mountains and the sweet treats that await. After landing their 4 wings break off, they then burrow into the sweetness to find a mate and breed. The wings are gathered by the older Slee Dragon females and sold off-world at a fine profit. / The delicacy can be savoured at many top-end eateries across the Universe. Recipe. 4 Wings (nobeing as ever eaten more than 4) / 3 succulent Grimbil Eggs / 5 measures of Kram Lizard Brains / 4 bottles of Guinness ( aged 100 years ) Marinate wings in eggs and brains for at least 5 months. / then cook slowly over a bed of hot Creelab Bark ashes ( about 4 hours) Serve with a sprig of shamrock. Wash it all down with the Guinness. A feast, just talking about it makes me salivate,mmmmmmmmmm good, a tad expensive, but well worth the creds. Dragons and plants created in Bryce.

Under the stars known as the Five-Starred Cross we look upon the Straits of Marok where the pirate queen BloodRaven the Slayer was finally caught.Some call the 5 stars BloodRavens Sisters. / The planet is Nembred III, the moon is Marbled Blue, the system is Gleeba, we are on the very edge of the Orion Galaxy. / In this region of space there are many close systems and suns, and of course in the foreground the mountain called Slayers Folly. It was a few hundred years ago that BloodRaven chased a small vessel into the bay, and so ran into the trap set just for her.

Today I drove from my old home to my new home, so in the morning I drove from the past into the future. / And when driving alone I listen to music, on my journey into the future today I listened to the sound track from *The Last of the Mohicans a challenging sound, a sound of the future, but also the sounds of the death chant of the “People”. So with that I drove into the dawn, in my mind there formed the image of northern regions, forests, lakes and rivers, and thats where I’m heading, to my new home on the river. But of course that image is for the future, it won’t go away, it will wait for when its needed. So with the day at an end, I have to return to the past, because the transition is still taking place, both physically and mentally, the past pulling me back, and the future just beyond the horizon. And so on the drive home I listened to ” Spirit Chaser ” an album with the sounds of the Skin Drum, the Rain Stick and just a pinch of the Didge, and in the background of the sounds of the deserts and forests, and bush. All this from the Anglo Irish group “Dead Can Dance” Showing me that the past will always be there, back beyond the mountains of the mind, it catches and is caught on the sharp edges and the imagination will bring it out when needed, but not always as remembered, for the imagination is not infallible. And so this is my image for this day of change and transition, its an image of deserts and ageless continuation, and a place to confront the Spirit Seeker, and yes,as with all things, it waits for me on an alien world

So called after Greenmo the Bold met Impermos the Grey Rider in mortal combat. Here at this ford on the Nylass River, Greenmo & the Rider fought for 65 turns of the moon, under the shadow of Grimmss World. / Having used every weapon and teaching at their disposal, and having spent the nights sharing a campfire. / They both knew that tomorrow one would pass on to a greater battlefield, whereas the winner would claim the Golden Chalice and so be crowned king. / .................................................................................................................... / Maybe it should have been called, Greenmos Folly. When *owlspook featured my image, I was asked did it have a name, so for owlspook….................. Let us call this world ” Aliens Dream” for thats what it really is, its in a galaxy far, far, away, its where my alien mind dwells, I just add the yeast and watch them rise, my dreams. This is what I think of when I write my stories for my images, for I see in my minds eye the wonders that lie beneath those suns. And with those thoughts try to describe their majesty. / Its really an incredible view and my words fall short, yet they await…............... / Out there on the very edge of a galaxy, far, far, far, away.

Every 300 years or so the planet Hale’akala glows red with anger, it is then time when offerings are made to the Goddess Pele. A time when our old and unhealthy give themselves, so that the strong may live. Stories and legends tell that this tower that rises 500 feet above to sea was once a great sky ship, and it sailed between the stars, it brought the people here to this place. / Our people have some very strange stories, how could something so big fly? But then I am old and unhealthy, the mind is slipping….........................so
