Punching softly through the puffy clouds, the Whisper Craft roared into life at full power. They knew this last leg would be tricky and had hoped to maintain their surprise as long as possible, in order to catch to inhabitants at Face Mountain city, unaware. Now in the open, they had to risk all in a high speed swoop, before the defenders could respond. They had reckoned without Stumpy though. Stumpy, a survivor of a previous sneak attack, had sworn that they would not catch his city sleeping a second time. He had roamed the skies daily, since war had started. Now, it seemed, his endless hours in high altitude patrols, had been rewarded. His stump itched, but it didn’t worry him this time. He smiled as he flicked the switch on his photon disruptor and prepared to dive…
Stumpy was not alone in his defence of Face Mountain city. The AWCSS (Anti- Whisper craft Cloud Swallowing System), only recently tested, performed flawlessly. Fired from the ground, this mostly organic system, could reach great heights with amazing rapidity. Once a Whisper Craft was in range, it was consumed in seconds. The inhabitants of the airship, would not be harmed, but they would have to start new lives in different worlds, due to molecular realignment. The prototype had been tested in a parallel system and by all accounts, the Bermuda Triangle experiment had gone well…
One of my first picture taken over the week-end with the 1Ds Mark III. The dynamic range of this camera is simply unbelievable…
The workings of a frustrated creative mind gone temporarily insane… Too many tangents, too many ideas. Too many thoughts trying to cram their way into an already overcrowded space. A peek into my inner tumultuous subconcious. The working title for this was A Crisis of Faith – In Myself Of course I’m out of my mind…. It’s dark and scary in there! I think a prolonged hibernation is in order.
I got inspired for the idea of this work after reading an article about the possible colors of alien worlds in a magazine called Scientific American. This is a female character from another world dreaming about what possible creatures could exist on other worlds. She is manifesting imagery of different creatures with her powers and wondering if they really exist somewhere in the universe. I used Painter and Photoshop for this work, no references were used.
This was pure luck, but I see many things within each sphere, especially the far right one. Tell me what you see. Lisa C. Weber ©2008 (Created with Bryce 6.1) Visit My Complete Bubble for all My 3D Artwork. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy!

This is my first Music Inspired Art, this was a lot more difficult than you might think for so uncomplicated a scene. Please listen to this song, Let Joy and Innocence Prevail I can hardly bear to hear it ever since 9/11… Comments are of course welcome. “Let Joy and Innocence Prevail” I tell you of a girl, her husband was a soldier, / Gone to war in some strange country far away; / No word had come to her, but the rumors of great battles fought, / And dying in their thousands, and the world full of fear; As the day would turn to evening, she would light a pure white candle, / And place it in a window bright from where it could be seen, / As she placed it in the window softly without thinking, / She said, “Let this burning candle be a beacon” Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail! And one night, asleep, / She dreamed she saw her husband fall / In a great white cavalry charge, And waking in tears, / She saw the candle burning in the window / She still had hope; And through the window / A man in the distance, / But as he came closer, / She saw he was a stranger; The stranger said, “I bring a message from a general, / A captain has been wounded, his life hangs by a thread; / He calls out your name, and he wishes you to come to him, / But the journey is a hard road, and you may be afraid” And she laughed and said, “No road could be too hard, for I am fearless, / A captain and a husband, I have gained this bright new day” / And she said with all her heart, she would fly to be beside him. / And her love would heal his wounds, restore him to her; Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail! Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail!
As I made my ( transitional ) drive from my future back to my past today, I listened to the Alien sounds of the album Oxygene. / From the master himself, Jean Michel Jarre. It is a sound for Earthly ears, with a message from the cosmos, to me its about the search for a new home on another world by a race that as destroyed the one they were given. The search is long and time passes slowly, the new worlds must have the thing we as a species need “Oxygene” / So their search across space may go on for eternity, for they say ” you can never go home again”. / And even when you find that other world, it still is not “home”. So I suppose MY message is…........... ’ Think about what we as a race are doing to our home world, do we really want to have to travel the stars for all eternity, searching for something we already have?................think! I wanted to create an image of what their home world was like before its destruction. So I created this one and called it “Oxygene”

As we look at the scene before us, we see many lights in the sky. / And since man first walked upon this Earth, he as always wondered what they were, those lights in the night sky. / Has he became more aware through technological advances, he sort of understood what they could be. / And even to this day he still wonders, what hides in the great blue yonder. It draws us forever to explore the vast unseen, we know the substance of it, its there before our eyes. / But what do those lights in the sky really hide from our eyes. They hide the….... Substance – of things not seen This is my entry into the challenge ” The Substance of things not seen” And of course for me it would be about the void beyond this Earth. In the far northern hemisphere of Saturn’s moon Titan, lies the future city of Ringsview. I say future city because this will not be built until man decides there is more to life than this small planet. That beyond our atmosphere lies our future Of course to do that, humanity as first to put an end to war, and step into the future with one mind, as one people. / To take the human race to the stars, to explore the lights we have looked at in the heavens for thousands of years. Art over the centuries as boldly gone where no art as gone before! Art as evolved with leaps and bounds, it as crossed a great many mediums. And it had to happen, here we have the planet Epsilon-Epsilon. The planet was purchased by one individual for the sole purpose of creating a work of art. The planet as thousands of cities and towns, all built as different architectual art forms, they are not populated, in fact there are no beings that live on the whole planet. / There is a reception center on the largest moon, the “tours” can take anywhere from 1 to 10 years to complete. The artist know as *Alienvisitor plans to purchase the entire solar system and all 13 of its planets, so one day the system itself will become the art form. This is but a small sample of said art…...the city of Flight, the architecture here is based on but not exact of his *Cities in Flight Series. Featured in Images & Ideas Group 25/07/09
