this image started life as a pencil sketch and evolved from there. The Double-mouthed sailtail generously tows his companion, Blockhead, across the Atlip desert. Blockhead shields Gorff from the watchful eye of the ever hungry Zylap. Their trusty, but aging pumpkin droid, brings up the rear.

Inspired by the nasty subculture of drugs, nightclubs and the vampiric leeches that prey on the naive young.
A horror piece inspired by the multitude of atrocities man/woman inflicts upon him/herself and the rest of the world for personal gain, and in a lot of cases just for the hell of it.

I once had pneumonia and it kept me awake for 80+ hours. Hallucination and depression became the norm. I felt like dying.
Here on Great Moona we pass in close orbit to Krill, the moon as a very thin atmosphere,it was used in the 2000 year war as a battle platform, and some wreckage still remains of that costly conflict.
An immense predator planet has drifted within reach of overtaking a fragile planet in it’s path. Woe to the inhabitants as they succomb to the radiation and death rays eminating from this monster! / Inspired by some work and words of ozjami / .

I just found this very old photo of Peggy’s Cove, this was taken on Mariners World about 200 years ago. / Because of the violent storms generated by Nova Moon,it requires two lighthouses. / They do say except for the backdrop of the Scotia Mountains and the Nova Moon, this could be the original Earthly scene. I used Lucindawinds images “Tranquility” and “The Reason for Lighthouses”. Alienvisitor’s Imagi – Nation .......................................................................................................... Here’s a How I did it.! I went to Lucindawinds page and viewed her art,the two I picked out were…............. “Tranquility” and “The Reason for Lighthouses”. I then contacted her,got permission to use them and had her email high res. images. / She also gave me ownership of said images,to use in any creations. In this I used two photos, a render, 2 models creations, a number of layers and filters. / Software used Photoshop,Infinity-D,Artmatic Voyager. In Photoshop… I put both photos on transparent layers,In Tranquility I erased the most of the sky,in Lighthouses I removed everything but the rocks. I dragged the rock layer onto the Tranquility image and positioned it in the lower quadrant. / Then I took a good look and saw in my minds eye what I needed for a backdrop and also the colors. Leaving the image on the right side of the screen,I opened my 3D rendering program Artmatic Voyager ( this is a Mac only program) / I then spent about 4 hours building and rendering an Alien Background. I always render at the highest possible resolution and saving as a PICT file (on my machine that can take up to 6-7 hours, this one took 2 hours.) Closing the Artmatic program and reopening the render in Photoshop,I then dragged it onto the transparent layer. Now I needed lighthouses and I didn’t want to use the one in Lu’s image. / Needed something a bit more alien. So I opened Infinity-D,and built myself 2 lighthouses, saving as psd transparent files. Back in Photoshop I dragged and positioned both lighthouse layers onto the Tranquility photo. Then feathered and cloned all the edges of all layers until they were blended to my satisfaction. I then opened my filters and chose the “Old Photo Color” filter, tweeked, painted, erased the image then set the filter. The filters I use are nik Color Efex Pro. It still needed something…FOG.. Opened a “Graduated Fog” filter adding just a little fog with the paint brush on the horizon, this also goes aways to hiding any harsh edges in that area. Almost done… Added a bit of brilliance to the image. Thats it and well worth the effort…another fine alien creation. “May you always create well and prosper” Alienvisitor’s Imagi – Nation* David (AV)

Blue Man is a “visitor” starting out on a vacation trip in his nifty VW Van; decisions, decisions…
Blue Man has discovered the Lost Valley of the Laughing Gods, who have visited this place very long ago and spread their message of peace, good humor, and the journey of the soul far beyond a single lifetime, and they instilled in the locals the duty to maintain these teachings and keep the temple safe…
A colorful psychedelic composite of fractal and digital elements in a geometric style. It could be a futuristic life form or machine.
This is an image of HOPE, for anyone who needs it, whether it’s war or economy or natural disasters or sadness or depression or lonliness, you are not alone, as long as there is life, there is HOPE. And here is music to go with, Story in your Eyes Here’s a quiz: / - Whose guitar is that? (easy) / - What are they standing on? (hard) hint – they’re definitly not on the ground Special thanks to the Hubble Telescope, NASA, and STSci for the image of NCS602 small Magellenic Cloud Galaxy!
This is my first Music Inspired Art, this was a lot more difficult than you might think for so uncomplicated a scene. Please listen to this song, Let Joy and Innocence Prevail I can hardly bear to hear it ever since 9/11… Comments are of course welcome. “Let Joy and Innocence Prevail” I tell you of a girl, her husband was a soldier, / Gone to war in some strange country far away; / No word had come to her, but the rumors of great battles fought, / And dying in their thousands, and the world full of fear; As the day would turn to evening, she would light a pure white candle, / And place it in a window bright from where it could be seen, / As she placed it in the window softly without thinking, / She said, “Let this burning candle be a beacon” Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail! And one night, asleep, / She dreamed she saw her husband fall / In a great white cavalry charge, And waking in tears, / She saw the candle burning in the window / She still had hope; And through the window / A man in the distance, / But as he came closer, / She saw he was a stranger; The stranger said, “I bring a message from a general, / A captain has been wounded, his life hangs by a thread; / He calls out your name, and he wishes you to come to him, / But the journey is a hard road, and you may be afraid” And she laughed and said, “No road could be too hard, for I am fearless, / A captain and a husband, I have gained this bright new day” / And she said with all her heart, she would fly to be beside him. / And her love would heal his wounds, restore him to her; Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail! Let joy and innocence prevail, / Let joy and innocence prevail, / Believe that love will never fail, / Let joy and innocence prevail!

Medium: Digital / Size: 9.2” x 5.2” / Description: Completed in 2007 by digitally colouring ink drawings of 2 tripods, each taking 3 hours to pen. Based on the brilliant novel War of the Worlds by H G Wells. I wanted to really design the tripod in a different way to what had been done before. I wanted to show that the machines themselves were originally designed by the martians to use on their own dusty home world, hence the desert inspired hoods. Also, after extensive reading of the books, I devised my own interpretation of the legs and drew up sliding disk mechanisms that would allow the tripod a graceful movement. I designed them with my own back story, in that the Martian’s had surveyed our planet since the dinosaurs and modeled their walkers on the giant lizards to strike fear into our minds. I was a long process, but it wanted to do it justice. In fact, the tripod design I have concocted is still a work in progress and I will devote more time to their workings. May I introduce two galactic travellers? This couple comes from a planet of a very distant galaxy. Somehow their spaceship broke down, and now they are feeling lost, trying to catch a wurmhole which would carry them closer to their homeplanet….. / Maybe we should whish them some luck! / :-) / ______ This digital painting is based on a fractal made in Apophysis and a selfrendered planet image. Another collage made with fractalets created in Apo 2.08 3D Hack. The pyramid itself is one fractal. The landscape (flower things) and the artifacts and detail items inside the pyramid are separate individual fractals. You need to view this on full size to see things well. The moon and sky are from photos of a sunset I took around my home and fiddled with in Photoshop. The bright crescent part of the moon is the photo, the back end of the moon was created in Photoshop.
