This is an image created to illustrate an environmental portrait of an old camera called a “speed graphic”... the whole scene is meant to tell a story of a time when this camera was in use. I hope you enjoy this marvelous piece of photographic history. Here are some beautifully fitting words by Wayne Cook It’s setting atop my desk, / Bit dusty, but the bellows are still pliable, / Haven’t shot anything in it, / More than 20 years, / Maybe 30…. / Oh, but the negs…. / Glorious things, / Like still nuggets in reverse / I’d shine that enlarger through one…. / Whew…. those celluloids, / Never lost my awe, / The figures almost came to life, / There on the table. / Something about that lifeless frame, / I swear it moves when I turn my back. / Breaks my heart to leave it lay, / But the film…oh, god, it breaks the bank!

This is Tanah Lot Temple in Bali, the tide is currently out. When the tide is in the ocean surrounds the temple like an island. I used a torch to highlight the water when I shot this giving a certain glow. This is one image shot in raw, reproduced 3 versions in lightroom… a light, mid and a dark tone. then combined in photoshop

ALF is a half-hour American television sitcom that originally ran on NBC from 1986 to 1990 and was created by Paul Fusco. The title character was Gordon Shumway, a friendly extraterrestrial nicknamed ALF (for Alien Life Form) who crash lands in the garage of the suburban middle class Tanner family. The series stars Max Wright as father Willie Tanner, Anne Schedeen as mother Kate Tanner, and Andrea Elson and Benji Gregory as their children, Lynn and Brian Tanner.
