I won’t sell this piece, and it is the only one. I have had offers before, but I am glad I didn’t accept them still. It’s painted on plasterboard I stole from a building site as at the time I couldn’t afford canvas, or even board. / The figure is me – I had long hair at the time… / It is the last piece I did before I quit drinking – TEN YEARS AGO TODAY – the 20th of december… The title is from my favourite Tori Amos song, from her first album.

Another stab at christianity! I can’t help it! It sold well as a xmas card one year, with ‘Season’s greetings’ written across the top. This is the colour version of the image already in my gallery, drawn in ink and coloured in photoshop.

Location: Rancho Cordova California / Technique: HDR, Layering & Fractalized / Workflow: HDRd in Matix – Layered in Cs4 – Fractalized / Equip: Canon 5D OG A wee bit late and a couple too many drinks while editing this image. Actually scrolled down most of the color palette and basically did a “eeni meeni miny mo” to select a color (#3c240a) and worked off the selection, hence a very busy & cluttered image. Im thinking this is not gonna stay on the bubble very long. but this image did put a smile on my face because when folks say Dont Drink & Drive, It should also apply to Photographers Dont Drink & Edit!!! Thought I should bring this back out of mothballs as will be published in AUSTRALIAN PHOTGRAPHIC SOCIETY’S IMAGE MAGAZINE…..........that is if I can FIND IT in my filing system and by then they may have changed their minds!! CHINA TODAY Today the newspaper triggers my creative thought process and the word is STUCK Yesterday ,as I travelled to Apollo Bay, the word was RAPE strange what you see in that complex network of powerpoles, kilometre after kilometre. HERE YOU and I are also reponsible for this disgraceful behaviour. split values in society! Men MUST be responsible and so MUST women. No use crying “WOLF” after the event. Both women and men MUST protect themselves. Lives changed by foolish decisions. behaviour in society/on the streets which is NOT acceptable. BRUMBY GOVT. allowing MORE party drinking venues in our CITY CENTRE of MELBOURNE. NOT enough police on our streets TELEVISION serving up a pile of RUBBISH ….I see suggested RAPE scenes/SEX on MELBOURNE TV. A warning to the viewer does NOT mean it is ok for US to be served out this RUBBISH/ CERTAIN types of REALITY TV have helped pave the way for this behaviour in our homes/schools/streets/etc…..... / MUSIC:I have listened to music which actually suggests sex/sleeping around….......DRUGS and ALCOHOL RADIO: YOU are also responsible NEWSPAPERS/MAGAZINES: YOU are also responsible. HOTELS : YOU are also responsible CASINOS: YOU also are responsible FOOTBALL CLUBS: YOU are also responsible.
