Oil on Linen / A tiny painting. If I didn’t do inside the car (The Blue Thunder) it was inside some other small place. And I was bathroom-less at the time, rotating gas stations and grocery stores and beach stops so as not to alarm the constabulary and get thrown in the hoosegow. / So emerges the alchemist, who can draw water from the sun, who has a sink and tub to call her own, and who needs anything more. I was convinced it works, but needs fine-tuning.

I met an Alchemist in Sherwood. An archetypal sorcerer. knowledgable, lovable but a bit scarey. He told me about his old Dragon slaying days and as proof he showed me the baby dragon he had captured. He can be found casting explosions and clouds of smoke during the first week in August at Sherwood Forest near the Major Oak, where he sets up his camp to display his transformative skill.

Original vase was a standard shot with standard manipulation. But it was rather simple and lacked emotional depth so I added an image of a concrete floor (or should I say several blended images of concrete floors)......and manipulated the colors further. The result is an organic-inorganic piece that is….

Digitally remastered image (ACDSee) of a collage of four Morning Glory photographs. I was “playing “with the original collage and got bored of hues and saturation so when over to other effects. Alchemists, those Medieval, backroom, would-be scientists or, perhaps, they were scientists to a degree, trying combinations of this and that with the intention of, supposedly, turning lead into gold and numerous other experiments.
