This is another shot of Kodi, an Akita Inu. He’s a little crazy most of the time, but he’s absolutely nuts in the winter, particularly with snow on the ground. If hunting for voles is his favorite activity, hunting for voles in the snow is his dream activity. In the snow, once he thinks he’s located a vole, he’ll shove his entire head into the snow, as deep as he can get it, with his front legs behind him and his back legs pushing him further in. His single minded pursuit of voles makes him a little difficult to walk in the winter – taking an anvil for a strol would be easier sometimes. This is a shot of him, post head shoved into a snow hole.
