Just a little spin off from the handgun image i was working on…mixed with talking about this expression. “words are weapons” the other day. Its kinda a bit existenz meets aliens…creepy like. Anywho, One to raise the awareness that people should watch what they say as it can hurt the feelings of other people. I could have gone the other way and called it shooting off your mouth, but hey…im the peaceful type at heart. / ;-)

TURKISH DELIGHT Prep Time: 15 minutes / Cook Time: 1 hour, 10 minutes / Ingredients: / 4 cups granulated sugar / 1 1/4 cups cornstarch / 1 teaspoon cream of tartar / 4 1/4 cups water / 1 tablespoon lemon juice / 1 1/2 tablespoons rosewater / 1 cup confectioners sugar / Vegetable oil ot shortening / Preparation: / In a 9 inch baking pan, grease the sides and bottom with vegetable oil or shortening. Line with wax paper and grease the wax paper. In a saucepan, combine lemon juice, sugar and 1 1/2 cups water on medium heat. Stir constantly until sugar dissolves. Allow mixture to boil. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer, until the mixture reaches 240 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and set aside. Combine cream of tartar, 1 cup corn starch and remaining water in saucepan over medium heat. Stir until all lumps are gone and the mixture begins to boil. Stop stirring when the mixture has a glue like consistency. Stir in the lemon juice, water and sugar mixture. Stir constantly for about 5 minutes. Reduce heat to low, Allow to simmer for 1 hour, stirring frequently. Once the mixture has become a golden color, stir in rosewater. Pour mixture into wax paper lined pan. Spread evenly and allow to cool overnight. Once it has cooled overnight, sift together confectioners sugar and remaining cornstarch. Turn over baking pan containing Turkish delight onto clean counter or table and cut with oiled knife into one inch pieces. Coat with confectioners sugar mixture. Serve or store in airtight container in layers separated with wax or parchment paper.

The cougar (Puma concolor), also puma, mountain lion, or panther, depending on region, is a mammal of the Felidae family, native to the Americas. A capable stalk-and-ambush predator, the cougar pursues a wide variety of prey. Primary food sources include ungulates such as deer, elk, and bighorn sheep. Aside from humans, no species preys upon mature Cougars in the wild. The cat is not, however, the apex predator throughout much of its range. In its northern range, the Cougar interacts with other powerful predators such as the Brown Bear and Gray Wolf. In the south, the Cougar must compete with the larger Jaguar. In Florida it encounters the American Alligator. This particular cougar is in captivity at the Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay, WI. Please View Larger

I try to fly but somethings keeps my feet on the ground (Winter)... So, that four pieces are about my emotions. Huh, I don’t like to describe my works.

Taken with a Canon 50D, Tamron 90mm prime lens, F9 shutter speed 1/500 second ISO200, edited in Photoshop This little fella made me laugh!! We were having some lunch at Castle Howard, whilst eating our soup and a bread roll we threw a few crumbs for this chap, he scoffed them greedily. Not content with this he then hopped around the far side of the table several times stuck him beak in my girlfriends untouched creamed scone, had a nibble, and then flew off…...it amused me greatly!! La Salle is just off HWY 16 about 30 miles west of McBride BC in the Robson Valley. I grew up just a few miles from this spot. The Mountain in the background is nick named Hammer Mountain because Many years ago, I think before I was born, a forest fire left a scar in the shape of a hammer head just below tree line and below and to left of the highest peak. View large and see if you can spot it. / I took this photo over 20 years ago with my Canon AE-1 Program film camera. Captured on Kodak 100asa film.
