I was in Snow Mass near Aspen, Colorado, for Balloon Glow. At dusk the balloons were inflated. The crowd counted down and all the balloons were lit up at the same time. It was a spectacular scene with the storm clouds moving in. The clouds lit up with the glow. This was the culmination of a wonderful evening which included some of the best barbeque I’ve ever had.

A salute to my favourite INXS song “Johnson’s Aeroplane”. “From a small aeroplane, you can see the sea. Lots of blue, very deep blue”. This week I had the incredible luck of flying in a 4 seater plane and having my first try at aerial photography – great fun!! It was such a fantastic day and Perth was looking its best on a 27 degree spring day. Amphibia Bubblemania / Like frogs? When i was a youngin, my mum, Suzie, drove us around everywhere in a little bright green gemini, named aptly ‘Suzie’s Tree frog” / Her tenpin bowling league team name was ‘The tree frogs’ / and she adores frog sculptures, bric a brac…anything frog related! / I grew up surrounded by cute lil froggies everywhere lol.. / even had some pet ones for awhile, but they didnt get along too well with our tortoise :) / My mum, Suzie, She was very inspirational in the making of this piece. Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival Sept 2008 Fellow Bubbler Marleia Main and I went to the Festival on 2 mornings…the first morning we got there too late only to see the last of the balloons disappearing over the horizon. This morning..we made it to the aerodrome for 5am and had an awesome and exhilarating time watching the balloons inflate for take off at sunrise and then over 90 hot air balloons rise in the sky all around us. It was an amazing experience.
