A salute to my favourite INXS song “Johnson’s Aeroplane”. “From a small aeroplane, you can see the sea. Lots of blue, very deep blue”. This week I had the incredible luck of flying in a 4 seater plane and having my first try at aerial photography – great fun!! It was such a fantastic day and Perth was looking its best on a 27 degree spring day. I walked behind the balloon as it was being prepared for take off, / I noticed a little flap and lifted it up and looked in, this is what I saw. / I closed the velcro flap very carefully as I was flying in that balloon within 30 minutes. Taken with a Leica R9 with a 80mm 1:4 lens using Agfa high colour saturation film Please view larger

A lone tree on the hill at Rendelsham, near Millicent – Limestone Coast South Australia. Amazing spreading and uplifting clouds made for a good back drop. Maybe it’s what nature is all about, putting healing oxygen back into our world….. Canon 400D 17-85 with CIR Polarising filter. Converted to black and white in photoshop CS3.
