I’m nothing…I am because there’s the Sun…only then….I can be alive…So it’s the blessings of the Sun that we thrive on… Inspired by the ancient ways of Sun worship in the Hindu mythology and many religions worldwide.. This painting depicts the five elements, Earth / Water / Air / Sky and / Fire Oil-on-canvas / 36 X 24 inches This inspired poem is by a dear and a departed friend HAFIZ … I want both of us / To start talking about this Great Love As if You, I and the Sun were all married / And living in a tiny room. / Helping each other to cook, / Do the wash, / Weave and sew / Care for our beautiful / Animals. We all leave each morning / To labor on the earth’s field. / No one does not lift a great pack. I want both of us to start singing like two / Traveling minstrels / About this Extraordinary Existence / We Share, As If, You, I, and God were all married And living in / A Tiny / Room / Water melted from iced melted… / The lake of the new dreams.. / where the reflections of the love they share… / will get into the ear.. / travelling along the sun beams…. / down… there.. / into the profoundity. / Rosa (Beautiful picture… and wonderful poem….just tell your friend…)

Painted en Plein Air / at Lane Cove national Park, N.S.W Acrylic on canvas / 2007 By Lane Cove River… / (As a kid I spent many hours roaming through this park, our house backed onto it and I’ve always had good times there! / This site – where I am standing – is where my wedding reception was – in a marquee on a gorgeous very HOT January day a while ago now)

Just Past Summer It was a time you let go / And caught the wind / Absent a rudder to slice your way through / Just Past Summer, / You let go of wondering how to Love, / You did. / Colors / Blended into one voice / Truth / Beating swiftly / Like cream does to butter. / Just Past Summer, / A fire as big as a sunset / Was started, / Using all the dried up dreams / And the gutter remains. / Rich you said, / Smell the smoke, / Sacred release. / The ashes you spread out like a table / Serving doubt and loneliness / Featuring a cold vichyssoise that had / A hint of Hope. / This hint you said, / Will complement the rest, / Fear not. / Dessert was three layers of / Rich longing, / Covered with a double dark / Butter cream of Love. / Always Love / You said… / Then off you went, / To catch the boat with no rudder, / On a warm Chinook breeze / That took you to Just Past Summer.

Original, Hand Painted / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches Thank you Robin Monroe for this loving gift; “Since this poem was written just for you in another time once upon a dream:) If you would like you can use it with one of your brilliant work of art since they are so full of Life, Love and Joy I think this section of the poem would go wonderful with one of your pieces. Let your love flow like the river… / Let it run wild and free…. / A promise that you can deliver… / Dreams are for you / Dreams are for me / Dreams can come true – Believe! Also, it would bring me joy and be such an honor to have my words associated with your beautiful Art….Robin:)” The Brent River…. While traveling, one can come across several intriguing places by chance… Sometimes you are not prepared enough or even carrying a camera to capture an image of the place that captivates you…but it leaves a deep impression in one’s memory which you can recollect…and I painted that memory…to the best I could recollect of that moment…this was one of those chance visits to the riverside in Greenford, England during one of my several walks…

Dear One, thank you for choosing this piece, I like it very very much and with your words I feel it has found a Home. 2008 Copyright. All Rights Reserved to Mariam Muradian. This Outdoor Series was created during the time that my Feral Child and Feral Woman were emerging. I had a claustrophobic time being inside anywhere…even my own house. I could only BREATHE outside. So I spent many days and nights outside. I moved my studio outside. I painted outside only. This series of paintings, I am convinced, cannot live indoors because it will choke the life out of them and they will die; so this series is prepared with heavy heavy sealants to live outdoors forever. I place each one very carefully in their “chosen” place. Each must be a compliment in the truest sense of the word to nature. You can never out-create nature. The series can be vibrant and subdued at the same time, depending on its environment. So once each has found their interconnected, noncompetitive place in the landscape, I watch. I enjoy watching these outdoor paintings live their life! How they communicate and play and change with the light, the blooms, the seasons! It is wondrous to witness! Their subtle variations and transformations are always perfectly, proportionately in sync with nature’s doings. Truly awesome! My ART has reached a Nirvana of sort in this context. It feels so right in my soul. Now you know why I must LIVE outdoors and garden and paint! I have never before felt such passion, such joy, and such inspiration! I continue to paint for this series. I will continue to take photographs of these art pieces as they change, as different colored blooms come to surround them. You must see! Thank you for looking and reading about this ongoing process of healing in my life. Please do comment, as I would love to hear how this effects the Beholder. Thank you. Outdoor Art Series Garden Wall (description for context): Grass and dirt in the lower right corner. To the right of this art piece is a large Japanese Cherry Tree which now has buds that will bloom into beautiful bright pink flowers soon. Just above the art is a flowering tree with white flowers. Ground level to the right is green grass with assorted wildflowers and black dirt and pink wild roses ground cover and white flox ground cover. To the left of this piece is a tall white birch and two creamy white rhododendron bushes. In front and to the left slightly of this art/nature scene is our black/coppery outdoor dining table and chairs with basil leaf motif, the shepherd’s hook with (on sale steal) crystal chandelier/candelabra, and natural strung rope hammock! My garden is the PERFECT place for dining and entertaining. Bocce too! Do come see us! I am just so grateful that I can SEE! That my vision returned from blindness, along with my color vision. That I am alive at all! A miracle and a blessing! See the others in the series /

From my collection: / Napo’o ‘ana o ka la Sunset Ho’okipa Beach Maui Hawai’i / Fine Art Photography by Sharon Anne Coultrap “Paradise is here, now. / We take walks in it Constantly mingling With the Presence That pours Its light In our secret lamps To extinguish the self Of its dire poverty: We are those lit receptacles Ruh imparts luminescence to. / This love-transfusion Pulls us to the Garden, / Singing in our veins With the spheres, / “Paradise is here, now!” / Bewildered, we throw Ourselves to the ground, / Rolling by turn in laughter Like small children, / We kiss that divine wildness That began when Allah said / “And know that you are to meet Me.” ~ Sufi Poetry by Aida Toure Free Hawaii

Nui hewa-hewa No’ono’o ulu wale / Ohana / Napo’o ‘ana o ka la / Sunset Ho’okipa Maui North Shore Hawai’i ‘Ae, if you look closely, you may notice the Humpback Whale in the distance. “It is our task to imprint this temporary, perishable earth into ourselves so deeply, so painfully and passionately, that its essence can rise again… We are the bees of the invisible … Our work is the conversion of the beloved visible and tangible world into the invisible vibrations and agitation of our own nature.” ~ poetry and prose by Rainer Maria Rilke

Original Painting / Oil-on-canvas / 24X 20 inches Also Were These Mere Co-incidents / A Place I Know… ...Another incident that comes to my mind is my painting called “A PLACE I KNOW”. This painting I’d done during October 6 – October 30, 2004 in England and was displayed at the Slough Library, The Oriental Gallery Windsor, between November 1, 2004 to November 27, 2004 and at my studio which was formerly called ‘Arty Facts’ in Delhi between January 1-30, 2007 and was published by The Times Of India and Metro Now, two leading Delhi newspapers on a few occasions. (An image of this painting and newspaper clippings are reproduced here as well. The original painting is with me. / This painting depicts “ floods in the fields”. In October 2004 when I did this painting, while I was staying at Dr. R.S. Bola’s house at 46, Amberley Road, Slough, SL2 2LR, England,,, I had no way of knowing, in the wildest of my imaginations that England could ever see floods, ever. I had no notion at all…THE FLOODS CAME TO ENGLAND IN THE SUMMER OF 2007, WHICH IS HISTORY AS WELL… /
