I met a fellow RedBubbler, Adam Mattel yesterday and we did a photo shoot together. It was a very enjoyable morning and a pleasure to meet a member that lives nearby. This is one the images captured along the Susquehanna river at Harrisburg, PA. This site was settled due to the founder Harris operating a ferry across the river. This has been my most popular image to date. It has been viewed over 900 times and is a favorite for 46 members of RB.

This is one of the many bridges crossing the Susquehanna River at Harrisburg, PA. The Susquehanna is nearly one mile wide at places near Harrisburg PA. This section of the river was picked by John Harris to establish a ferry operation, thus founding Harrisburg.
This is a rebuilt version of the covered bridge that the Confederate Army used when they began the retreat to Virginia from the Gettysburg battlefield. Directions and more information can be found here on the VisitPA website. The picture was taken during the first Keystone State Group photo shoot on April 12th of 2008.

Borrowed this lens from a great friend at work! Canon 100 mm f 2.8, tripod, small desk lamp, inverted coffee mug, pink crepe paper as background, tripod, and some patience to get one good one! :) / Thanks for looking, and btw, is it my screen or-are there spots to the upper right that need to be cloned? / 1:1 Macro just featured this! Thank you so much!
I had the pleasure of going to Plaza El Agua (Water Plaza), it sits right next to the Macagua hydroelectric dam and the Caroni Eco-Museum in Bolivar state, Venezuela. Families often come to the park and play with their children in the open fields, I came to catch the last golden rays of the sun as they are caught and reflected/refracted by the water fountains. / I met some great photographers from the city who had come to talk and shoot a few frames. / For me, who likes landscape photography, I usually include the human element with structures, but not the people themselves (I love slow shutter speeds and that doesn’t go well with photographing people), so it was difficult to compose, frame and shoot the angles I wanted without having someone walk into the frame. Still I had a blast and went home with some great images. I hope you see something in this ….. / there is just something about seeing three different birds. in a swamp…....... in the damp moist muggy.. habitat…..... each surviving. each leaving for now to do each do their thing. The wingos the anhinga must be tried. and this ritual of the wings spreading takes sometimes a good ten to fifteen minutes.. The stork eats its food.. the egret is patiently waiting for its next food source. and then watch out. it will spear it with that amazing beak .. Sach’s Bridge near Gettysburg, PA. along old Pumping Station Road, is a rebuilt version of the bridge which was used by the Confederate Army as it began its retreat from the Gettysburg battlefield. The original bridge was said to be haunted by three Confederate soldiers that were hung from its rafters for desertion. It’s claimed that the new bridge is now the home for the ghosts. Photo shot at twilight with Canon 40D, ISO 200 at 1/10th sec at f/2.8.
