The best thanksgiving for Sam is a warm home, meds., food and able to do what he likes best , play and watch the birds! Let me mention again for the ones that have not been introduced to Sam, I rescued him 6 weeks ago from a peck of magpies that were swirling around him. He was on the country road unable to move, cold and skin and bones. We gave him the treatment he deserved and now he is well on his way to better health. He adapted well with the 2 other felines and 3 dogs. Its the most lovable Tabby and he follows me everywhere. / Picture taken when he sits on the counter top watching the birds. I took this image with the Tungsten bulb setting for effect. Some “seasonal-stars” added in photo-shop. / ! / !
It may be a ‘new’ version of an old shot …but is it improved…? hmm….thats the question…. (CLICK ‘next’ to compare….) The original untouched dawn mist was my 2nd ever post to rb with taken with my brand-new pocket fuji finepix A500… and it’s been the most popular shot in my gallery by far. It’s just reached the unbelievable figure of 100 faves – how awesome and mindboggling is that!! So this plus a new challenge gave me the idea of tweaking it slightly to see if it could be improved on . I fiddled with the jpg as camera raw in PS Els 6… / Comments, comparisons and suggestions most welcome as I’d love to know what you think….. Cheers and thanks everyone for all your awesome encouragement and support all along which has really got me hooked in and loving photography more than ever… Thanks so much for looking too.. ding / :)))) Captured just after dawn at Loch Voil near Balquidder in Scotland,

Some of you know these old guys so well by now from former visits. But I am sure you will not mind revisiting these lovely beech-trees under the very different circumstances on a September morning with really thick mist. / As I enthousiastically told somebody whom I met a bit later: mist like this makes nature a photographer´s paradise! There are few things which make me jump out of bed in the morning these days, I am afraid to say. The mist of this morning did it! And I was not sorry for it! Not at all. The forest between Hilversum and Lage Vuursche proved to be a great shooting ground again. I am sure you shall see more of it. Near Hilversum, 20th September 2009, 8.02 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 18 mm / F 4, 1/20, ISO 800 / Here the former shots. / February 2008: / / March 2008 / / March 2009 /
