It may be a ‘new’ version of an old shot …but is it improved…? hmm….thats the question…. (CLICK ‘next’ to compare….) The original untouched dawn mist was my 2nd ever post to rb with taken with my brand-new pocket fuji finepix A500… and it’s been the most popular shot in my gallery by far. It’s just reached the unbelievable figure of 100 faves – how awesome and mindboggling is that!! So this plus a new challenge gave me the idea of tweaking it slightly to see if it could be improved on . I fiddled with the jpg as camera raw in PS Els 6… / Comments, comparisons and suggestions most welcome as I’d love to know what you think….. Cheers and thanks everyone for all your awesome encouragement and support all along which has really got me hooked in and loving photography more than ever… Thanks so much for looking too.. ding / :)))) Captured just after dawn at Loch Voil near Balquidder in Scotland,

You know these trees already from my misty beech-tree shot. On Easter Monday we had snow here. It made me take another look at them. I hope you like this shot too. Taken near Hilversum/The Netherlands, 24th March 2008, 8.42 am / Nikkon D 80, 18-200 mm at 56 mm / F 10, 1/25, ISO 100 And here a shot taken just about one year later: Here the misty shot taken earlier:
How different are the colours in the present winter forest here: just brown and black and grey and a little bit of green somewhere. So when I returned from my wet Sunday morning bike trip just now, I did long for the colour green again. And so I dig up this old shot, bringing my – and hopefully your – minds into a greener world. This dreamful scene of a very peaceful beechtree grove was taken near Laage Vuursche on a lovely slightly hazy day in early October 2007. You could hear the elves whisper behind the trees … Near Laage Vuursche, 4th October 2007, 9.13 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 48 mm / F 10, 1/5, ISO 1000
April started with a wonderful misty morning here, and I even managed to get out in time for a whole series of shots. This one was taken when I was already on my way home, but I still present it to you first. After all I find that it is time for another horse rider shot in the morning mist. I hope you will agree. / Taken in the forests near Hollandse Rading. Near Hollandse Rading, 1st April 2009, 10.17 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 200 mm / F 14, 1/80, ISO 400
