Airdrieonians Football Club, more commonly known as ‘Airdrie’ were a Scottish professional football team from the town of Airdrie, in the Monklands area of Lanarkshire. The club became defunct at the end of the Scottish Football League 2001/02 season, despite the team finishing as runners-up in the SFL First Division to Partick Thistle and therefore only narrowly missing out on promotion to the Scottish Premier League. During their one hundred and twenty four year existence the “Diamonds”, as they were nicknamed, won the old Scottish Division Two three times, the Spring Cup once and the Scottish Challenge Cup on three occasions. The club also competed in four separate Scottish Cup finals; winning the competition in 1924. The Airdrieonians logo is public domain as the company is no longer in existence.

Photograph A haven, my second home, Stansted AFC, where I love to go…... and where the greatest pleasure is to walk in the gardens. Many paintings, in fact the reason I started painting 2 years ago, is the result of the overwhelming spirituality of this place: The trees in particular.

This photograph was taken towards the end that amazing first week I spent at Stansted College in 2006. The preceding 5 or 6 days had already made a profound and lasting mark on my life which amoung other things would trigger the return to painting for me. / So much had been packed into those few days not on the physical plane but on the spiritual level. Attunement and Auric Fields, Trance and Psychic links, my heart was bursting with the creativity that I’d stiffled since a child. Now I was completely at ease with my world and perceptions. / It felt like I had come home. It was like a veil had been lifted and I could not only see the beauty inherent in all things but also sense it’s spiritual energy. / Some of the photographs I took seem to have captured something of the spiritual energy I can sense. I just hope it is visible to some others too. I went on to paint from many of these photographs and will make a second calendar from the paintings / Thank you for your visit! / Lizzy
