  • Seeker of the Mirage
    by Elena Ray

    US$3.42–US$91.20

Or journey of the lost soul…I guess every day is a failure. I fail to live up to my own life. But I will die trying! I’m ready to make a leap of consciousness. The old struggles are no longer interesting. They do not engage my mind. My energy passes through them-they are mirages. I once sought big monuments of proof that I existed-no more. For me going deeper is better. Deeper insight is all that I seek…and a beautiful cup to drink from.

  • Standing Tall Against Adversity
    by HollyK

    US$3.42–US$91.20

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. / by Martin Luther King Jr. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- / The rock is one of The Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. Slowly the ocean is eroding away at its base, but still it seems to stand tall and proud, weathering its adversities…..

  • Solitary
    by Bonnie Taylor Barry

    US$4.28–US$114.00

I’m fascinated by this tree which grows in Lafayette, Louisiana. I think it must have fallen after a storm and then started growing again because the base of its trunk is very misshappen and convoluted as though it had been twisted and torn at one time. I stumbled across this quotation by Winston Churchill and immediately thought about this lone live oak. I think the words of the statesman and this stately old tree go well together. It’s encouragement for those who consider themselves loners because, as Churchill pointed out, solitary trees, having overcome the adversities of loneliness, grow stronger as a result.

  • Abstract mixed medium painting; acrylic and watercolor on paper with inked Chinese character for “sky”. Original 8. 5×11”. Created after a particularly present and powerful yoga practice from which I promptly began to menstruate. At the moment it felt to me the most profound painting I had so far produced. I value the brief process of producing small paintings and collages. They are finely “Now”. It’s complete. I’m fulfilled. I move on. It felt incredible to create directly from my own dynamic moment; blood and opened cellular energy; the feeling that my attained balance and cleanly spinning connection was becoming unhinged by the heat and hunger of the incoming biological process. My first true landscape as a painter, an inner landscape composed of ancient alchemical symbols, which came without intention. It evolved just from the physical act of my hand moving the brush, the inner events, the intense energy generated.

THE SONG I CHOOSE TO GO WITH THIS IMAGE WAS / BETTER DAYS BY PETE MURRAY. TO LISTEN TO THE VIDEO AND MUSIC PLEASE / CLICK ON THIS LINK= / ................................................................................................. / And I saw it coming / I saw emptiness and tragedy / And I felt like running / So far away / But knew I had to stay / And I know when I’m older / I look back and I still feel the pain / I know I’ll be stronger and I know I’ll be fine / For the rest of my days I’ve seen better days / Put my face in my hands / Get down on my knees and I pray to God / Hope he sees me through till the end I noticed the smallest things / But I didn’t notice the change / It was hot in the morning / Then it turned so cold, twas the end of the day / There was no condensation I just felt like I was in space / I needed my friends there I just turned around / They were gone without a trace I’ve seen better days / Put my face in my hands / Get down on my knees and I pray to God / Hope he sees me through till the end Now I have just started / And I won’t be done till the end / There’s nothing I have lost / That was once placed upon the palm of my hands / And all of these hard times / Have faded round the bend / Now that I’m wiser I cannot wait / Till I can help my friends I’ve seen better days / Put my face in my hands / Get down on my knees and I pray to God / Hope he sees me through till the end Seen better days / Put my face in my hands / Get down on my knees and I pray to God / Hope he sees me through till the end .......................................................................................... This is a tragic scene of shanti towns just out of Capetown in South Africa built just on the side of the freeway. It really makes you appreciate what you have. These poor people were living in these self made from scrap material huts that took on a 35 degree celcius heat of the african sun.

  • Took this photo whilst visiting a friend in Italy. My friend spends the week living in a flat in Milan where he studies at University and then spends the weekend living with his parents up the Alps. In the afternoon he took me snowboarding down the mountainside to these cottages where we met a bunch of really crazy Italians for a party. I still cant remember what happened that night (alcohol) but fortunately i took this photo whilst I was still sober.

  • The Impossible Dream – Pushing a Rock My 5-year old daughter convinced that she could topple over this heavy rock that even my 10-year old son could not. That’s conviction and determination! My passion for candid photography made this a must have action shot. This snap has been taken on a hot evening at the Panchgani plateau, a flatland in the middle of the state (Maharashtra, India).
