Lake Dumbleyoung in Western Australia. Holding the land speed record, Donald Campbell then broke another speed record over the surface of this inland lake. He was the fastest man on land and water but the lake later took his life.

This another shot from Cable Beach. I couldn’t decide whether I liked this better with the more vivid colour or the shot of the whole train. Can you help?
Horseshoe Bend is the name for a horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River located near the town of Page, Arizona, in the United States. It is located slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell, about four miles or 6 km south of Page. Accessible via a 3⁄4-mile (1.2 km) hike from U.S. Route 89, it can be viewed from the steep cliff above, forming a spectacular vista. / This image is actually made of 4 pictures taken with my Canon 20D – 17-40mm L lens and stitched together to create this panoramic
We spent 3 magical days backpacking at Havasu Falls, one of the most beautiful place on our planet.
First morning at Havasu Falls. This was one of our most memorable backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, USA.
Taken from a lookout tower next to my accommodation on Mabul Island in Borneo. It was early morning and this approaching rainstorm looked like a huge ribbon in the sky. The darker storm clouds were just out of the frame but it really pelted down about 5 minutes after I took this shot. View more of my landscapes by going to: / Landscape
Pisaq 2007, Peru’ ! I visited the ruin of Pisaq, near Cusco just a few days ago.. it’s a long way up at an altitude of about 3600 mt, it takes about 3 hours if you are not use to it and that’s my case.. the ruin is divided in different sections, so it is like discovering things during the walk. I was on my way to the Temple of the Sun when I met Isidora with her son on their way back home… ! / I love this picture because in my opinion show perfectly the idea I´ve always had of Peru’, his native people and the wonderful landscape !!!
This image inspired a collaboration with / chord0 / / His poem God’s love in Nature suite this image perfectly. God’s love in Nature / When slight and silenced, / With rumors of corollas and wings, / Is love that fills everything! / Have agitated waves / And the deep vertigo / Of the abyss and the distance. / Life and Death, eternal Love / Of pain and exuberance, / Keep me chained / To the light of his Word / And that sleeps at dusk / In the footprints of the plants. Please check his writings and gallery Bacara Beach in Santa Barbara, California during magic hour at dusk. Zanskar 1984 Series. We were on our way to cross Shingo Lal. She was on her way to collect water for the family, whose stone hut is in the right background. We were resting for a few minutes and had stopped to view the valley that rose up and beyond, unseen on our left until virtually in front of it. That was the way of this trek – the mountains so steep and huge, always hiding from view other stunning landscapes. All we could do was look and marvel at these sudden vistas – our goal ahead of us always beckoned, excep for exploratory rest days, of which there were few and far between, and none until we reached our goal and began descending the other side. The girl said nothing, she seemed oblivious to what we found awesome, and her silent expression reeked of “What the hell are you people doing here?” Olympus OM1, slide. Scanned at 4,000 dpi. Featured in “AMERICA’s National Parks and WILDLIFE Habitat” – June 2009. A very narrow slot canyon appropriately named Spooky Gulch twists and turns for several hundred meters through a dry desert landscape. Its walls tower many meters overhead while the opening in front of you seems to get smaller and smaller. Those hikers that are both brave and thin enough to fit through will find that they are able to make it to the opposite side. At its narrowest point, the little canyon is only about 30 centimeters wide! [Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument website] [Spooky Gulch info and photos] / Copyright © 2004 Brian W.
