A party that celebrates all that life has to offer,both the good and not so good :D She’s wearing her new flower feather clips and a ribbon belt to adorn her waist. All who read this will be invited! A belief that Life is to be celebrated, not just the ups but the downs too. It is easier to give thanks and rejoice when things go well for us but can we still do the same when things dont turn out the way we want them to? In dry or in bountiful times, I keep reminding myself to count my blessings…to adopt the mindset of abundance and not of scacity. The bridge reminds me of an emotion of solitude, which is not to be confused with loneliness. The former leads to an internal peace and being one with nature and oneself while the latter was a feeling of being forced to be alone, deprived of freedom and choice. I used to call this photo “Peaceful Bridge” until a young patient of mine (at the time she was nine years old) explored the difference between solitude and loneliness. When the image was presented to him as an illustration, he exclaimed, “Oh, solitude is peace, inner peace!” And the true title of the piece was born. The doe took a little time off from busy eating for the photo opportunity, although she didn’t want to give up the tasty colorful leaf. By now everyone who has ever seen my work knows that I’m absolutely “addicted” to develop a deep relationship and establish an intimate communication with mule deer (we don’t have a lot of white-tailed deer around here). This started off as an encouragment card, send this card to someone who hasnt been getting restful sleep lately due to all the preoccupations with his/her woes. My dog River posing for a portrait in the snow. She has ALWAYS liked her picture being taken since she barely opened her eyes at two weeks of age. Her litter mates ran around when the camera aimed at them but she stood in attention every time a photo opportunity showed up! :) I’m sure she’d be glad that I donate the proceed of the sale of her photos to Nature Canada as she loves woods and her deer friends as much as I do! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada.

My husband gave me a gorgeous soft toy many years ago that I named Pooky. / I ended up illustrating Pooky into a number of different scenes and actions. Here’s Pooky snorkelling in a reef. Paper. Hand drawn then coloured with pencil. .

This is a little bridge in my piece of the woods after the first snow. All is calm and quiet. Even the deer seemed to be walking gingerly – not wanting to disturbed the “peace”. Some may even say that the picture portrays a feeling of “eerie-ness” but for me, it’s just the quietness and serenity. There is a special person, whom I simply love from the first day.. / she brings light, and happiness to me with her world of views and her family and her visions.. so I am stuck on you * Trena. :) please meet the lovely Trena and give her some Bubblishious love thanks you for reading this and I hug you for it .. / Isa these are epiphytes, on this cypress tree. A tree that grows so strong and hearty in Florida, it surpasses understanding. The epiphytes have need of no watering and no soil, they live on air, and need simply a tree they can lean on.. This photo was taken at the Animal Welfare League in Wingfield, South Australia. No photoshop was used other than to alter the colours a bit. The puppy’s smile, although blurred due to depth of field (i was using a 50mm f/1.4 at 1.4 focussing only on her eyes) was real! This puppy was adopted shortly after.

There were many ducks in the little “live” stream that was surrounded by thick ice and deep snow and I caught three close-ups. Both males were looking towards the less colorful female and she was the only one who tried to look through the ice at her own reflection!
