  Hi!! It’s been a great week, getting wedded and having people purchased my works, I have lots of reasons to smile these days :D Firstly, I’m pleased to share with you that one of my work was selected to be part of the Compassion Courage Friendship book published by Redbubble :D I’m also very happy to receive the $100 RB voucher too….I take it as a wedding gift from RB,haha! :D I’ve also started a button collection with these buttons I have purchased from zazzle.Some of these designs are also from our fellow bubblers, can you tell which ones? :D I made some 10 sales at zazzle over the last 1 week plus at zazzle, thanks to the many on going promotions that are going on at zazzle :D These are some of the items I sold:

  The day after I returned from my holidays last week, I received a delightful email from Zazzle that my “Celebration Of Life” keds had been sold! This was and still is exciting because I finally sold my first pair :D Just when I thought nobody loves my keds, a fellow bubbler,Cazzie came along and bought a pair (Thanks Cazzie!! This is a great encouragement to me!). I dont have any recent sales from RB but I am thankful that during the last one week, I had 8 sales which is a record for me…..and I am counting my blessings,no matter how small these sales are….because each sale came by not easy and I’m sure we can all identify with this sentiment :D I can now say a big thanks to the “drought” I experienced in zazzle during the first 2 months which has taught me to appreciate every sale made, in zazzle and also in RB :D And I also just found out from Fa that I have been featured as a fresh gallery over at Zazzle too, Thanks Fa for the info!!   Thank you so much to all my fellow bubblers’ well wishes with regards to my joint exhibition show :D I’m most happy to update you with the news that The Dreamer was sold yesterday to a Belgian(they are called Belgians right?) customer! I was down at the show yesterday….just to see how things were and of cos I dont deny the fact that I hope to meet someone who will love my work enough to buy….so I went around looking at others’ works…then I came to my own…and I saw 3 men looking at my owls :D So I mustered enough courage to introduce myself as the one behind the owls…so to cut the whole story short, one of the men said his mum is a super fervent owl lover and he’s looking for a birthday present for his mum! I couldnt believe my ears and my heart was just leaping with joy! So now The Dreamer is going to reside in some part of Belgium and in the loving hands of a fellow owl lover! :D I brought my cam along and wanted to take a shot with this customer…and guess what..no SD card inside, I left it in the laptop, so no pics to show here today. He did get his friend to take a pic of us so I really hope he remembers to email me :D The painting looks exactly like the framed print above…black frame with black board within :D Happy happy! Another 7 days before the show closes :D “The Dreamer” is also available in many other products in my Zazzle Gallery :D

  Hi! Was delighted to find out that “Lofty Ideals” received the “Today’s Best Award” , thanks to Zazzle :D And yes, I do draw other animals other than just the owls :D Many of you may not have seen this work as this was one of the first few that I uploaded here in RB. So I thought this is a good opportunity for the rest of you to know her better….a piece that’s close to my heart and maybe you can also identify with this painting. This pink sheep’s name is Knitto Pinko :D In this pic, she feels that she is unique and set apart for bigger things, not just another sheep under the shepherd’s shears….not just another digit on the farm….she faced a big dilemma…should she stay or should she leave? / You can view more of “Lofty Ideals” at my Zazzle Gallery. Part 2 of the story: Knitto Pinko submitted her resignation as head knitter to Farmer O’MacDonald a year ago. She decided that she no longer wanted to knit designs that she was in the least passionate about. Her dream was to have her own shop of knitwear, designed by her with 100% wool.Knowing her dream extended beyond the boundaries of this farm which she had grown so familiar with,she took on the challenges that awaited her outside nevertheless.There was no turning back since. She’s now busy with her knit creations which she fondly calls them “Knitties Gritties”. Hope you like the story :D

  I received my very first t-shirt today in the mail…

  I received my very first t-shirt today in the mail! It’s soooooooooooooooooooooooo cool, I’ve been running around the house, looking in the mirror and giggling about it ALL morning….closest I’ve come in resembling a ‘Gobbledock’, you know the ones….’chippies, chippies, chippies!!!’...gosh I hope you do, or you’ll think I’m a bit weird :D Anyway, I’m heading out shopping soon and going to be showing it off to all the locals!!! See what they think !!! Anyhows, thought I’d enter mine in the comp you’ve got going, as it sounds like lots of fun, etc. I was looking a bit tired around the eyes, so I added a mask….then I thought…this would look cute with sushi all over it…..then she materialised before my very eyes yup! It was the birth of my alter-ego, a brand new Super Hero…… SUSHI GIRL to the rescue!!!! (forget about Batman, Superman, Wonder-Woman, etc….skanky old heroes. Just call on Sushi Girl next time you’re in a bind, she will snore right through the credits and never bother you with showy pecks, overloaded charisma….no, no, no,.......Sushi is your girl-next-door type of Super Hero, she does ordinary-every-day things….she’ll like sweep your floor, bring you snacks, and stuff like that which really really matters….lol Oh dear, perhaps I ate too many weet-bix this morning :D DETAILS OF T-SHIRT Username karin / Title of Shirt Design Sushi Mix Combo / aka …............   In light of Mother’s Day coming up, I really wanted to share a funny story about my daughter that just happened. A few minutes ago, my 3 year old daughteer (the one in SMILE, LITTLE SISTER, and a bunch of other images I have posted here) asked me. “Why don’t we have boyfriends” (she was referring to herself and her 5 year old sister…) and I said, “Because you are only three years old.” and she said, “Oooooh!” and I said, “Don’t worry, you will have plenty of boyfriends when you get older. You are beautiful.” and I asked her “Why?, Do you want a boyfriend now?” and she said, “Yes.” And I asked what would you do with a boyfriend if you had one???” And she said, “I just want to kiss him… that’s all.” I guess she is influenced by too many older sisters. LOL Anyways, I don’t normally share personal stories, but she is constantly saying the funniest things anymore. I never write it down, and I don’t want to forget. I just wanted to share this with everybody. Have a great day ALL …...
