This is my pet lemming that was badly abused and left at the front desk of our animal shelter. Someone had ripped off one of her ears and she hadn’t eaten in days. But now she lives in a 5 feet by 4 feet, 3 story cage with her friend Fred Jr., the hermit crab, which she has been known to ride on occassion. My 12 year old puppy Mattie was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. She made it through surgery, removing the tumor and her spleen. Unfortunately the cancer spread too fast to get it all. She’s going through chemotherapy right now and is doing very well. But the road to recovery is going to be a long one, as well as expensive. So every t-shirt and piece of artwork I sell will go to paying off her already $5000 bill, as well as $8000+ more in the near future. My kitty Checkers, Mattie’s brother, has also joined in to help with the fight. My kids are my life and will do anything it takes to protect and love them. I’ll be downloading many photos of Mattie & Checkers in hopes of raising money to save Mattie’s life.
