A corolla winding its way down the Lake Mountain Road back towards Marysville in Victoria’s Yarra Ranges. Taken with my Canon 40D… finally! Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS and Lightroom 2. Sales 1 Matted Print Featured in the Transport group on the 15th of April 2009 On Saturday the 7th of February my family lost our home away from home at Marysville, as well as our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and our Abyssinian cat. So I know there’s gotta be other people out there excited about the release of the new Batman Movie The Dark Knight, or is it just me? This is a tribute to possibly one of my favourite movies! This is also one of my first really serious attempts at creating some digital artwork in Photoshop. This is the result of me having a lot of time, sitting at home sick when I should be at work. The question is can you see Batman?? For this I started off with one of my pics of Melbourne, Australia from Southbank which was a HDR from 3 exposures. A re edit of a pic I already have on here which was a HDR image, trying to steer away from it unless I find it appropriate. I like this one better in a lot of ways sometimes it’s better not to see all the hidden details. Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2. Gear out in the field – Canon 400D, Velbon tripod, 10-22mm lens, shutter release, nd grad filter. After arriving at the beach after work I started walking to the point but couldn’t resist taking a snap of this bucket that just happened to be sitting on the shore. There wasn’t even any people around so I wondered how it had got there… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 only, experimented with the new adjustment brushes which are coooool! Ok so everyone is probably sick of all my flood filter photos but I’m having way too much fun! This is my girlfriend’s kitten Jaguar, this shot was taken in her backyard in autumn and I thought it would make for a good subject for a flood filter. Also changed the hue and saturation of her eyes in Photoshop, other minor changes such as slight cropping done in Lightroom.

Why this image was created / I wanted to challenge myself in the self-portrait arena. I thought it would be a great challenge to see if i could, convincingly, create a picture of me, touching me. The end result . . . sensual weirdness and a bit of auto-erotic splendor wink. How this image was created / I shot 2 self-portraits in my studio and scaled one self-portrait to be a little taller than the other, for a more realistic effect. I used the reflection off of a stainless steel elevator for the background and added in a few clouds around the feet. I then merged everything together in Adobe Photoshop. About this Image / I wanted this image to have an emerging from a dream and timeless kind of visual aesthetic. I am also a huge fan of Helmut Newton and find myself drawn toward creating images that are dynamic and sexually charged YET detached at the same time . . . hence the vacant stares and mannequin-ish skin. This Toyota concept vehicle was on display at the 2008 Melbourne International Motorshow. I went crazy with a flood filter and got rid of the people standing around it to create this image. The car is called the FT-H5 and is a hybrid electric concept, the car was also on display at the Chicago motorshow. Click here for my other photos of cars!
