This shot taken from a beautiful gazebo in Seaside, Florida. It was unoccupied! It was very scenic with its adirondack chairs. It did lack cloud coverage that day. I decided to add another photo I had previously taken to the background to suit my vision of this peaceful place. Enjoy! / / / / / /
Adirondacks, New York Taken with Gary… my Nikon D80. / Lens is Nikor 18-135, focal length is 20mm. Exposure is 2 seconds at F/22 on manual focus. ISO 100. I was using a tripod for this series, but, I did take Gary off the tripod for this shot and put him down on the rocks. No cameras were injured during this shoot. :)
I don’t have a macro lens..wish I did, so I could really get close up on those raindrops. But I did have fun with the starburst filter on my camera after the rain!
Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival Sept 2008 Fellow Bubbler Marleia Main and I went to the Festival on 2 mornings…the first morning we got there too late only to see the last of the balloons disappearing over the horizon. This morning..we made it to the aerodrome for 5am and had an awesome and exhilarating time watching the balloons inflate for take off at sunrise and then over 90 hot air balloons rise in the sky all around us. It was an amazing experience.
My Favorite place to sit and reflect on the day nearing its end. Sunset tonight October 20, 2008. Bell’s Island, North Carolina over looking Coinjock Bay.

This Adirondack river is strewn with glacial boulders that came to rest as the last of the ice sheets retreated northward about 10,000 years ago. Martha found it a congenial place to rest, too, but the water surges past, compelled to constantly seek new places. At the riverbank, we are connected, linked, and attached to all of these other places by the lifeline of the river.

Taken in the Adirondacks in Wilmington New York. I almost missed this shot because I was so focused on capturing the shot below the falls. I had packed up my equipment and was driving away when I noticed the view from the bridge. I’m happy I followed my instincts and turned around. Taken with a Nikon D40, Tamron 18-270 lens, focal length 45 mm, f/25, 1/13 sec exposure and tripod

This photo means much to me. It is the first photo I took of a rainbow trout that sold. It appears to have that timeless quality, because it was published in Adirondack Life Magazine and continues to be one of my best sellers and still is one of my top 10 viewed photographs from month to month. An osprey flies toward a favorite dining spot with a rainbow trout for breakfast. A soft maple on the shoreline has already turned red in early September and the warm lake is giving back some of the heat accumulated over summer. An osprey photo for Gouzelka :).
