/ I took the mikoto skull for a little walk from Illustrator to photoshop and tried to give it that aqua look that makes OSX so enjoyable to use. A few filters and masks latter and I felt this logo had some bling. /

We can change the world, rearrange the world. / It’s dying – if you believe in justice. / It’s Dying – if you believe in freedom. / It’s Dying – let a man live his own life. / It’s Dying – rules and regulations, who needs them! / Open up the door. / – Crosby, Stills & Nash / / People today are still living off the table scraps of the sixties. There is something distinctive about the sight and sound of a / human body falling from the rain forest canopy. The breathless / scream, the wildly gyrating arms and legs pumping thin air, the / rush of leaves, snapping branches, and the sickening thud, / followed by uneasy silence. Listening to that silence, I reflected / on how plant collecting can be an unpleasant sort of activity. / - Eric Hansen, Orchid Fever
THE GODS ARE CRYING!!! NB. I have never drawn a tank with a pencil, let alone a vector curve and quite frankly I didn’t care to spend much time drawing weapons (poopoo) but I think you get the idea…
Eat It Up Kids / I’m aware the greedy rodent analogy has been used before, but having experienced first hand with my children recently the power of global brand marketing, I thought this idea expressed my concerns. Actually physically consuming the brand message has got to be the ultimate result of a targeted campaign. The charity Childwise estimated that children in the UK spend £4.2bn annually. Other figures suggest that children assert an influence over almost 10 times that amount, the term used is Parent Pester Power. / Source: The Guardian

A personal favourite as I love how there is so much going on…......the plane in the sky, the boat on the river, the hive of activity in the bubble.
Adapted from an old disarmament t-shirt from the 70’s – it originally read ‘stop the arms race’.
Mixed media artwork, being a combination of a photograph and a fractal design. I used the tools of photoshop to get this endresult. I hope you enjoy it. /

Well as I was saying in my journal, I haven’t been around for the most part of th winter as I needed a break and mostly cause work kept me pretty busy so I didn’t have much time to shot and when I did have my camera, it was around events that we put on such as this one. This shot was taken during one of our Slopestyle event here in Whistler where the kids try to showcase their talent on various features (jumps, rails). Shot taken with my Canon Xt, 70-200mm lens Cheers

Captured looking East just outside my living room window, on 09/03/09 at 6:48AM… that’s Mount Lassen (aka: Lassen Peak) midscreen to the right – Please view in large format…. Lassen Peak (also known as Mount Lassen) is the southernmost active volcano in the Cascade Range. It is part of the Cascade Volcanic Arc which is an arc that stretches from northern California to southwestern British Columbia. Located in the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California, Lassen rises 2,000 feet (610 m) above the surrounding terrain and has a volume of half a cubic mile, making it one of the largest lava domes on Earth.[5] It was created on the destroyed northeastern flank of now gone Mount Tehama, a stratovolcano that was at least 1,000 feet (300 m) higher than Lassen. Lassen Peak has the distinction of being the only volcano in the Cascades other than Mount St. Helens to erupt during the 20th century. On May 22, 1915, an explosive eruption at Lassen Peak devastated nearby areas and rained volcanic ash as far away as 200 miles (320 km) to the east.[5] This explosion was the most powerful in a 1914–17 series of eruptions that were the last to occur in the Cascades before the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens in Washington. Lassen Volcanic National Park was created in Shasta County, California to preserve the devastated area and nearby volcanic geothermal features. Unlike most lava domes, Lassen is topped by craters. A series of these craters exist around Lassen’s summit, although two are now covered by solidified lava and sulfur deposits. Lassen is the largest of a group of more than 30 volcanoes that have erupted over the past 300,000 years in the Lassen Volcanic Center. / Compliments of Wikipedia /
