  • I have a thing for painting masks, woman, landscapes in one form or another… here’s another mask damn it! I think this was done in April 2007, and yes, I sold it. I think I sold it for $30 bucks on Ebay – again, I wish I hadn’t! Wonder if these people realize they got a bargain? Oh yea, almost forgot, this is on loose canvas, A3 size and I used a mixture of mediums including water colour and gesso … don’t know why.

  • This is my finished acrylic painting of the abstract phone, its a dyptych…they are about as tall as me. I used Acrylic, acrylic polymer emulsion and binder medium. After doing prelims I came up with the idea from the following pic I made on photoshop that came from taking photos of a phone…

  • While doing critiques it was discovered that my paintings actually looked better lying down like this. So here is one of the dyptych on a different angle as a landscape.

  • A mixed medium painting of stunning white acrylic daisies on a watercolour background, some ink. Can you imagine stumbling across these daisies amongst a magical forest with hints of light filtering through the trees. Size: ll” x 5” (28cm x 12cm) painted on 300 gsm arches watercolour paper. Beautiful daisies so pretty to view / one of a kind, this is true. / Spreading petals reach for the sky / faces smiling a delight to the eye. / Come, please pick a few / they are here just waiting for you. • Mixed Medium on canvas. The original is now currently for sale This painting was formerly / but it never really grew on me and I had it on Ebay for a while and it didn’t sell there so I decided to take the plunge and work over it. So, the result is this rather nice (if I may say so myself) mixed medium painting which was really enjoyable to create. Thank you : )

  • Not sure of the title for this painting yet. It will reveal itself soon enough and when it does I will update accordingly! Mixed mediums on canvas. Keep safe, x Carmen. The original is now currently on sale

  • A mixed media on canvas that unfolded over a period of 12 months and recently came together as this, rather unusual piece of work that incorporates a variety of mediums including collage, acrylic, gesso, sand, inks and guache… pretty much anything that I wanted. I guess the theme remained one of experimentation and my attitude stayed playful and open to where the painting wanted to lead me. Most of my work, particularly my abstracts, are intuitive, there is no prior thought process or decision on what I want to create and I let the work take me on a path rather than me moulding it from the early stages. Perhaps this is why this painting unfolded as a game, and on a slightly more deeper level, is about the games we play and the gambles we take in our lives. Please follow me ... oh, and one last point of interest. Some of you have already commented or favourited the previous versions of this painting, guess it goes to show how much our work can change in a short space of time. Pretty exciting to watch this journey as I enter my 3rd year of painting. Have a happy day and thanks for looking : ) LARGE SCALE VIEWING IS RECOMMENDED

  • I painted this over the past two days. Size, 30×40” or 101.6×76.2cm. / Predominantly an acrylic on canvas. Over the recent weeks I am enjoying painting more than ever, I think its because I have finally let go of the outcome and instead enjoy the process more. After all, there is no such thing as a mistake. Please visit me at my blog

  • Inspired by Bonnie Tyler’s song Lost In France. For those who are interested, the girl is painted with watered-down acrylic paint, the Eiffel Tower view is painted with gouache and the rest is done with coloured pencils. This is a variation on my LOST IN FRANCE painting … The original was done on A4 paper and I decided to enlarge it to A3, but as I started doing that I decided it would be boring just to do a straight copy, so I did another version instead. I rather like both versions as they each have something different to offer. FEATURED IN ALL THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW GROUP – 12th September 2009

  • My rendition of a pop Icon Elizabeth Taylor. This was a very large mixed medium piece (acrylic paint, spray paint, collage) on thick flexible advertising plastic material.
