Here’s my little bluebird boyfriend again. He’s quite a ham. Loves to pose and loves to peek into my shooter’s blind to check on me. (Don’t worry, everyone. I don’t shoot with a gun, only with a camera!) When he comes to the nesting box with goodies for the kids, he perches a while before feeding them and kind of shows off the stuff like he’s proud of his catch. Here he is with a big grasshopper. I thought it would be a nice image for a card to congratulate someone on a job well done.

The Secret
by paul romanowskiWithout exception, every human being has the ability to transform any weakness or suffering into strength, power, perfect peace, health, ...
Rhonda Byrne’s discovery of The Secret began with a glimpse of the truth through a 100 year old book. She went back through centuries, tracing and uncovering a common truth that lay at the core of the most powerful philosophies, teachings and religions in the world.

The honey eater flew off my hand, crash-landed in some plants, but seemed OK. I had to go to work, and it wasn’t there when I got home, so I assume it recovered completely and went back about its business.

Perry Rd. w/o Rt. 23 – DeKalb Co. Just another barn that’s – apparently – served its purpose. There’s nothing stored inside and I never see the doors open at either end. I think they just keep it around as a bird sanctuary. :)

Well, here it is, the end of the year. Someone said its a good idea to list things you did in the year so you can have it infront of you and build on it for 2008. So, I will list accomplishments first and then goals for 2008. / 2007 accomplishments Showed 4 acrylics in an “immigrant Experience” show at Stonehill College in Easton, MA. Group show. Reception included question and answer session by the artists. Group show. Showed 3 collages at the Distillery Gallery in South Boston. Group show called “Art Spotting”. The good news is, It was mentioned in the Boston Globe by Cate McQuaid. The bad news is that she liked the show’s concept better than the artwork. She said the work varied from great to mediocre. So, for the past month I have been stressing out about if her view of mediocrity included my work. Had 2 one person shows at Starbucks in Lexington, MA, sold nothing. Does that count as an accomplishment? Sold one collage to a former buyer. Hooray for Opera House! Group show during the Inagural Reception for Deval Patrick at Merrimack College Taught two collage workshops, one to the Chelmsford Art Society and one to the Nashua, NH Art Association Goals for 2008: I’d love to be included in the outdoor show at the DeCordova Museum in the Spring / I’ll probably do the Portland, ME outdoor show for WCSH in the Summer / I’d like to have more shows at colleges and universities / I’d like to sell more work! / I need a bigger studio. (preferably with heat this time.)

A fine kettle of fish ya got us into laddie. Next time its WMD’s ya be seeking, try looking under your own bed. Once while minding his business the King of the Beasts was stung by a bee. Enraged the Lion pursued the bee back to his hive and proceeded to tear the hive to pieces. The bees quite naturally stung the lion to death. Sometimes tis more wise to suffer an injustice than to seek retribution and risk all. Aesop. Some idiots are smarter than others. I used to think some village in the mesquite countryside was missing their idiot. / After visiting Mesquiteville I realize tis a country of idiots and Bobo is their King.
