This is a colab with jegustavsen who does some amazing typographic work… check it! “Every memorable act in the history of the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it you can accomplish miracles.” - Og Mandino

Of course this is Monument Valley taken this spring @ sundown, what a sight is all I’ve got to say, so impressive, such a landscape. The drive there was so worth it.

Here’s my little bluebird boyfriend again. He’s quite a ham. Loves to pose and loves to peek into my shooter’s blind to check on me. (Don’t worry, everyone. I don’t shoot with a gun, only with a camera!) When he comes to the nesting box with goodies for the kids, he perches a while before feeding them and kind of shows off the stuff like he’s proud of his catch. Here he is with a big grasshopper. I thought it would be a nice image for a card to congratulate someone on a job well done.

Delicious money – OM NOM NOM! having a little fun / this is my highest paying pay-check so far, so I got all excited and tried a new kind of self-portrait it may not seem like much / but this is for only 2 pictures / and i’m used to only one picture being used at a time, so it’s a big career step for me =]
A fine kettle of fish ya got us into laddie. Next time its WMD’s ya be seeking, try looking under your own bed. Once while minding his business the King of the Beasts was stung by a bee. Enraged the Lion pursued the bee back to his hive and proceeded to tear the hive to pieces. The bees quite naturally stung the lion to death. Sometimes tis more wise to suffer an injustice than to seek retribution and risk all. Aesop. Some idiots are smarter than others. I used to think some village in the mesquite countryside was missing their idiot. / After visiting Mesquiteville I realize tis a country of idiots and Bobo is their King.
Ripped from today’s headlines.
The Confucius Temple in Beijing, first built in 1302. It is the 2nd largest Confucius temple and was used to worship Confucius until 1911. This gate is called DaCheng Gate, Highest Accomplishment Gate, and leads to the main worship hall, DaCheng Hall. Also on the grounds are stone tablets with the names of all 51,624 Jinshi or advanced scholars from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. China was the first country to have a system of national examinations where people of all backgrounds could pass national exams to be able to take jobs in the government. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Beijing.
