I forgot! I’m not going to have net access for tomorrow… and the weekend… I’M MOVING HOUSE AGAIN – pouts – I’m tired of it… urgh… but… it’s the last one! Hooray! ... well… until I save enough for a down payment on my own little house… heh heh… but… that will be a loooooong time coming… And now for some better news! The text-less versions of ‘Warning Battery Low’ in Red and Black will be up in the next hour… the with-text versions are still gonna be up if people do want them. Is it possible to have shirts printed on the back, though? It could open up some very interesting designs. Also, some of my friends have asked if RedBubble offers any other shirt colour besides white. Varying base colours could present an interesting challenge in shirt print designs. And then my mind wanders into a threadless spinoff… =\. There could be a colour theme per month… maybe a colour + subject… and see how people interpret that… hmm…. I think my tiredness is showing haha XDD I’m on the homepage again! I feel so treasured, it’s awesome… thank you RedBubble, kisses and hugs! My head feels like it’s expanding… oh no… help… my feet are leaving the ground… aaaaah… XDD. P.S: Everyone! When Black Sheep comes out… watch the movie! I mean… genetically engineered sheep eating people… I can’t help it… It’s too funny… I saw the trailer. I nearly died laughing. And so did my friends. And the lecturer. Whoohoo! -pumps fist -

Today we purchased the very cool and suave Manfrotto 190X PROB Tripod from The Photographic Wholesalers (47 Hutt Street Adelaide). This cost a little more than we intended to spend, but it’s proved a worthy investment already. We also purchased the most amazing Manfrotto 222 . This is totally amazing ‘Grip-Action Ball Head with a Quick-Release Plate’. That’s the product description, but as usual it doesn’t say much. Here’s my review of both: Manfrotto 222 (Grip-Action Ball Head with a Quick-Release Plate) This amazing tripod-head has a handle-grip that initially takes a bit of effort to use, so it pays to turn the tension adjustment point till it matches your finger-strength. I was amazed at how quick it was to manoeuvre. It can be spun 180 degrees around, 90 degrees forward and backward from the upright position. Plus the centre-pole is easily changed to horizontal. I didn’t think I’d find a use for that … but when you need/want to sit down to take a shot there are big advantages. Considering it can handle up to 2.5kilograms of weight, it will certainly have no trouble with most dSLR’s. Both the Tripod and The Ball-Head have bubble-levels that ensure your horizon is evenly horizontal, even when in steep or rough terrain. Manfrotto 190X PROB Tripod This is one amazing tripod that will allow you to shoot from locations that you previously thought were too difficult to access! Originally I’d wanted a tripod with flexible ball-joints on the feet also … but after using this combination tripod/head in the Adelaide Hills late this afternoon, I was pleased to find the legs will stick in bracken, mud, and rock-face quite securely. Yes, I tested all these options just to get to a particular location. There’s only one downside, but this only effects the non-passionate photographers: Made of cast aluminum, it weighs a lot, I estimate around three kilos. Mind you, that’s with a Canon EOS 400D with a ‘Canon Macro Lens EF 100mm 1:2.8 USM’ which is heavy enough on its own! But the tripod is easy to grasp and carry. Two legs of the tripod have a rubber-finish to the upper-strut that are easy on the hands! Well, I hope that helps sell a few more of these great Tripods! Adelaidians have a variety of camera retailers to choose from, but I have my favourite places as you can see! Oh, most importantly: My lovely wife made me a Tripod Bag . It is made of strong material, has a zipper up one side and has a shoulder strap. Want one? / Cost: $30. P&H $5 / Seriously! Offer only open to Australians.

Hi, Brian Beckett (who initiated the idea), Julie Langford and I have jointly launched a new group with the sole purpose of collating information regarding access for the disabled and people with mobility issues at various popular locations. The idea is to create a database where people can have input to the database with information on sites they have visited. People who have a disability can then access the database before planning a field trip to get the information they need. In order for this to work, we need you, the able bodied as well as the mobility impaired, to input the information about these locations. Visit our group and take a look at our database to see the type of data we need, You will find it in the forum under general discussion how to’s Just one other thing, people who attend Red Bubble Meets, we have also started a database of people who don’t mind helping out on these meets by pushing wheel chairs or acting as a companion/helper to people with walking difficulties. If you want to offer your help to others who have a disability on these meets then please put your name forward and also for which group. I hope you will help me to get this very much needed service up and running, this is one area which no one anywhere has done anything about, we can be the first and strike a blow for the disabled photographer. The New Group

Hi all, As you might have gathered RB and UPC have had some communication problems, because of this I haven’t been able to access RB for the last 10 days or more. Before I was cut off altogether I was experiencing problems when I tried to comment on others artwork, all in all this has been going on for about a month now As of today I’ve been able to access RB again, I won’t be trying to catch up but I will start commenting on your work again if it is at all possible. A big thanks to Jesika for keeping communication lines open and I like to think that her help enabled met to log on to the RB site again. All the best to you all, / Robert

I have sold my house, and am currently without good internet access while my new house is being built. I can get in occasionally and look in, but will be back to normal in about six months. You can leave me messages and I will reply to them as soon as I can. Thanks / Robyn Carter

So – I know these ‘rules’ have been put out there, I know there is a thread in which to comment, but as far as my account here on RB is concerned, these things do not exist! A proper link provided to me by another member only leads me to a “now where did we put that” page, though for others it ‘works’..... I have only been able to access the ‘new rules’ via “off RB” so at least I have now read them….. but, of course, I still have NO ACCESS to the thread for comment! What is going on here and why is this??? Kallena

Well, after weeks of frustration, my husband has found out what the problem was with me not being able to get ready access to RB. It wasn’t my computer, as I never believed it was! It was the new modem we had been using. / I was able to access other sites with no problems at all….but the large number of images available on RB was causing the modem problems. We shall now get a new modem…pronto. I have been having the best time this evening…using our old modem gave me perfect access. / What a relief….I can now resume my regular involvement. All I have to do now is get back into using Apophysis :-) Bye for now

ALP now stands for Australian Liberal Parties, which encompass the Australian Labor Party and Australian Liberal Party; which has been demonstrated this last weekend in the bi-elections in Higgins, and Bradfield, where Labor didn’t put up a candidate, against vthe Liberals. Possibly because Labor had just appointed ex-Liberal leader Brendan Nelson to be EU ambassidor and ex-Liberal Treasurer Costello to the board of the Futures fund ( obviously for their long term commitment to Labor policy. Am using government funded Community Access Centre while I am without my computer. ( which is well and truely fried )
