Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for

I was watching the movie “The Ultimate Gift” listening to the character played by James Garner talking to his grandson when he said… ‘Learning is a gift… even if pain is your teacher”. As soon as the words had finished coming out of his mouth I honestly said out loud – YES!! Immediately I was blown away by the quote and I wrote it down and thought about its meaning for weeks. I’ve never felt so affected by a sentence before. Upon reflecting this quote I found quite confronting to realise that I spent my twenties doing everything to avoid and “run away” from my emotional pain.. Now in my 30s I’ve realised that pain was essential for me to be a more caring, less-judgemental and forgiving person. Pain seems to show us the truth in others… the truth that all people, no matter what’s on the outside… have a heart capable of breaking on the inside. Many Native American Medicine Society’s, in almost every tribe consisted of a society of women, or bringers of the rain that nurtures the abundance of their food sources. The Three Sisters ~ corn, beans and squash fed many tribal peoples as a regular staple when game, fish and other crops were not plentiful. The WhirlWind Buffalo Sisterhood began just before Miracle, the white buffalo calf was born in Wisconsin, on August 20, 1994. A rainbow culture promising peace among all nations and all people, stressing equality and opposing any superior race that controls or conquers other peoples. The Unity of all colors, all creeds, all beliefs, working together for the good of the whole and when all pathways to wholeness are respected by all cultures, the prophesy of the Whirling Rainbow will be completed. When the time of the White Buffalo, the third generation of White eyes children will grow their hair and speak of love as the healer of the Children of the Earth. These children will seek new ways of understanding themselves and others. They will wear feathers and beads and paint their faces. They will seek the Elders of the Red Race and drink of their wisdom. These white-eyes will be a sign that the ancestors are returning in white bodies, but they are red on the inside. They will learn to walk the Earth Mother in balance again and reform the ideas of the white chiefs. These children will be tested as they were when they were Red ancestors by unnatural substances, like firewater, to see if they can remain on the Sacred Path. After the time when the buffalo returned, the generation following the Flower Children would see the dawning of the Fifth World of Peace. Appearing to those who see, would be a Sun Dog, or full rainbow circle around the Sun that has bright white lights at the Four Directions, a rare natural phenomena. Enough of the Earth Children will be awakened to carry the responsibility of the teachings and the healing process will begin in full swing. Many will remember their “purpose” for being here on Earth and will develop their gifts to assist humanity. Truth will shatter the bonds of separation and goodness will prevail with tolerance, acceptance and understanding. The WhirlWind Buffalo Sisterhood has consistently sought knowledge that changes lies to truths, that have made us mistrust one another and replace the illusion of separation with the truth of UNITY. In non-violence and peaceful energetic, teach that a worthy opponent will present lessons to make us grow beyond any high drama and into a sense of unity within Self, to then share with others remembering that any challenges to unity are equal to our ability to overcome them. The buffalo symbolized not only the strength of the Whirlwind, but also prosperity and abundance ~ the past 15 years, since Miracles’ birth ~ the Tribe of All Nations has been gathering physically, mentally, emotionally, tribally, socially, morally and spiritually all over the world, even more so with cyber-space communications. Mark, an American soldier, gave his life for his fellow countrymen in the war in Iraq. The only one of his unit to survive the initial blast, he battled for life as he was flown back to the United States for medical care. His family flocked to his side and surrounded him with love in his final hours. Not long after his arrival in America, he died on home soil in the arms of his loved ones. His mother Kim, my husband’s first cousin, wrote this poem, “Is it you?” as she struggled with grief and loneliness for her young son. She asked me if I had a dragonfly photo to accompany her poem which relates the tale of the dragonflies that seem to hover near her in a show of consolation. This image is our collaboration, our joint effort, in memory of Mark Graham who defended the cause of freedom with steadfast determination and a valiant heart. May he rest in peace and may the angels surround him and his family now and forever. (100% of proceeds from sales will go to the Mark W. Graham Foundation; see another image, “Is it you?” in this portfolio if you’d like a green dragonfly. It will print better in the card size). Taken from the Mark W. It honors the legacy of Mark Graham, a fallen soldier whose strength of character and gift of service to his country are an inspiration to all who knew him. Mark was a Lafayette, La., native and his death opened the community’s eyes to the reality of war and the sacrifice soldiers make in their fight to keep our country free. He was married to Stephanie for a little more than a year when he died. Mark was 22 years old.”

In March of this year, my husband Lynn and I had the great pleasure of meeting, sharing and being blessed by Lindsay Wagner (deeksha blessing), by participating in an experiential workshop, she calls “Quiet the Mind, Open the Heart”. In addition, I was further blessed by being invited to her home for a private session for several hours, where she re-awakened my knowledge of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and also known by several other names. She also reminded me how our past experiences, with our inner file cabinets, color our perceptions of the world and our reactions to it. Like a particular incident that causes pain that we refuse to allow to heal, and even though we are very intelligent, our familial and/or societal upbringing, beliefs and responses can program us to react in ways that rob our joy in daily life. She helped me to explore my prior programming and shift my perspective beyond it, “to experience life as it is in the moment.” / One of the most profound gifts she gave me were the words upon this image, a new daily practice of mine ~ while touching just above the heart in a circular motion, I say each of these phrases three times, especially when experiencing any stress, but most often a daily mantra. It has had such a healing effect on regaining some power within my life, I thought I would share it here. / Image is a sketch of scales balanced, photographed and edited in photoshop7 with fractilius filter and text. / My hope and intention is that those that will benefit from this simple tool, will utilize and share it to heal themselves and others. / / Feelings

My rant- / In the journey to self acceptance its a tricky tricky road / With the grass always greener on the other side… / Why are we pressured to keep ourselves hidden, clothed, covered from the world… made to feel unworth… when one doesnt fit the ‘mould’ / Western Society tries to corrupt us to be ashamed of what we are, at the same time as encouraging us to be confident and self assured… / Amid brainwashing us all what we should look like and how we should act… / What a mind job… Ok, So since having my child two years ago confidence has not been a strong point… :) / One looks in the mirror and sees a stranger :) / (who stole my body? – i swear i used to be bigger lol) / But slowly as time goes by i’m learning to accept what i am once more / and so, in an effort to get that to sink in…, here i am. :) As my other half says to me, Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes :) / and True Beauty is from within! / so screw the outer beauty thang, for its inner beauty i truly strive for! / (inner beauty also, with a little willpower, does not succumb to age… / ...unlike the flesh) Peace N Luv Trippaz :)

In response to blamo’s (Tone) lighting a single red candle at midnight for Peace, this is my contribution… In 1863, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote these words: I heard the bells on Christmas Day / Their old familiar carols play / And mild and sweet the words repeat, / Of peace on earth, good will to men. I thought how as the day had come, / The bellfries of all Christendom / Had roll’d along th’ unbroken song / Of peace on earth, good will to men. My Spirits Guides wish to let you know that they send you heartfelt compassion. When we are truly enlightened we are able to love ourselves and others unconditionally. We need to understand this inorder to accept certain events and feelings that manifest themselves in our life. If we are able to accept these factors and access our feelings then the door of self -acceptance allows us to walk through. Compassion is not a word used very often today. However, I must stress this to you. Once, you do this, your self -worth will begin to grow and you will not depend on outside influences for acknowledgement. As you begin to learn unconditional compassion towards yourself, your need to criticise and judge others will drop away. My Spirit Guides have made me feel that you may have been too harsh on yourself and shut down feelings which you have experienced. On a daily basis try and find time to sit down and reflect on unconditional compassion for yourself. This will make you feel more comfortable and loving and expand into your whole being.
