Saskatoon was my home for 6 years. I took some nice photos with my old point-and-shoot during that time. This photo was taken at The Berry Barn and Farm landscape just outside the city of Saskatoon. View of South Saskatchewan River. Spring 2007. The Accent has been nominated for the prestigous Pay it Forward Group by Kreative Kapture / This is what she had to say about the image - “I have a few favorites, not a lot so far, as SO many are great photos here on redbubble that I only favorite EXTREME fav’s of mine. / With this photo, however, I keep returning to this one to gaze at it. / To have the soft grey blue of clouds and sky, and soft water – all so natural – and then the contrast of the bright orderly flowers is quite the eye catcher. / Especially taken on the prairies! This image was taken in Holland where this young girl was serving handmade ice cream from a modified bicycle! I loved the orange accents in the cover and on her clothes and decided just to highlight them!

© Copyright 2009 Ivana Redwine, All Rights Reserved Abstract Trees, Moss and Branches in Blues With Accents of Other Colors is influenced by Fauvism and uses color subjectively for its emotional impact. I used Trees, Moss, Branches and Glimpses of Sky as a point of departure. As I digitally manipulated the photo, it became increasingly abstract. The finished image still has representational elements, although they are reduced to ghosts of what was in the original photograph. The work now reads mainly as an expressive abstraction.
