  • Southwest Harbor, at the mouth of Somes Sound in Acadia National Park, offers a protected haven for a large fleet of pleasure boats and ready access to the Gulf of Maine and the archipelago of islands to the south and west. In this image, the harbor is filled by the late afternoon sun and the vestiges of a recent thunder storm lingering in the sky.

  • From the Schoodic Peninsula, this image looks out over Frenchman Bay to Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park. The clear waters reflect the scattered clouds in a blue sky.

  • I may never be able to claim the world, but the Moment is mine! From the collection of my world ( Film Days) taken to photoshop LvL 6 and embellished with digital composition, it is on the easle unfinished as an acrylic, this to be someday the product of a lovable moment in time! A reminder to me, an arist can not create what is always changing! Life , Love and persuits of Happiness. by : Paul A. Albert ‘This is a digitally altered photograph, photo Manipulation made from film impression, original shared with me from my recently departed brother, for which I have changed the sky and waters, and tonal effects. Although in exile from my home state of Maine the rocky coast line has special reminiscence to the soul of my birthplace!’

  • This is one of several stone bridges for the carriage roads in Acadia National Park, all with amazing stone work. The entire park was formerly owned by the Rockefellers, and was a playground for the ultra rich. They constructed a network of carriage roads winding through the park with these beautiful stone bridges over the roadways. The carriage roads are really great for biking, horses, and hiking, winding to points of beauty. Isn’t it amazing what obscene amounts of wealth can do…... please view large Acadia National Park, Mt. • Yup, that’s what it is…a sunset from the rocks on Schoodic peninsula in July…so wonderfully mellow there…possibly my favorite place. That’s Cadillac mountain in the distance (the main part of Acadia National Park). Schoodic is the ‘quiet’ part of Acadia, less frequented by noisy tourists… / This area is threatened by a proposed 3000+acre ‘eco resort’ for the rich to be located on and just off this peninsula…an Italian investor wants to build it…it would totally destroy the beauty and peacefulness of this wonderful place…the locals are mostly opposed to it, but in the ‘land of greed’, where there’s money to be made for those that already have too much, you can be sure it will eventually happen, sadly… ~ please view large ~ Schoodic peninsula, Acadia National Park, near Winter Harbor, Maine, US / 7/09 / Canon EOS T1i, 18-55 (18), auto landscape / thanks for the look, my friends! Desert Island, Acadia National Park, Maine, US…just down the road and up the hill from Sand Beach…she’s watching a deer…. Canon EOS T1i, Tamron 19-270mm, auto / 10/09 / 4752×3168px / Mt. • Nothing really special here, just a shot of the texture in much of the granite rock on Mt. Desert Island, Maine US…this is just below the summit of Cadillac mountain, the highest point on the east coast of the US…these groves, and the topography of the whole island and surrounding area, was formed by glaciers, many moons ago…Acadia National Park covers most of the island, all of it is one huge hunk of granite… / yep, those are tourists swarming around the top of the mountain… / I set up my tripod on top of this rock for the sunset (nothing spectacular, rats!) Canon EOS T1i, 18/270mm(@18), auto, handheld / 10/09 / Cadillac mountain, Mt. • Cindy the Dog, listening to the surf crashing (ears forward in listening mode…) while meditating, on the rocks at Schoodic Point, while we wait for sunset…she really does seem to go deep into trance-like thought at times… / That’s the Atlantic ocean in the background…The granite rocks here have a unique, bright red surface… / Cindy’s a Finnish spitz (national dog of Finland) Canon EOS T1i, Tamron 18/270mm, auto, handheld / no color adjustment / 10/09 / Schoodic Point, Acadia National Park, Maine US / 4650×3030px ~ use large view, please ~ thanks for the look, my friends! • Red granite cliffs and glacial cut overlook the Atlantic Ocean, Acadia National Park, Little Moose Island, Maine. Little Moose Island is on the Schoodic Peninsula section of Acadia National Park, and is only accessible during low tide. / Canon 50D / Circular polarizer / graduated ND filter / f12 / 3 second exposure / iso 100 / 10-22mm wide angle lens

  • Looking north up the length of Jordan Pond…the twin peaks (yes, they look like…) in the center are ‘The Bubbles’...the mountain to the left in frame is Penobscot Mountain…the mountain to the right in frame is Pemetic Mountain…a cold, and very windy day, this pond is very protected; it is usually very calm…one of the most popular places, on one of the busiest weekends of the year for tourists, but I could still get shots without people…nice place! / This area is easily accessible, with carriage roads, a great walking path around the lake, a natural amphitheater, and an excellent (and usually crowded) restaurant… Jordan Pond, Acadia National Park, Mt. Desert island, Maine US / Canon EOS T1i, 18/55mm, uv, auto / October, 2009 / 4752×3168pixels / / / ~ use large view, please ~ thanks for the look, my friends Serious Fun Studios ~ fractal art images and photography Fractal Art Prints & Products by SBricker @ Zazzle fractal art by SBricker @ devientART Scott Bricker at Fine Art America Scott Bricker’s art at Art Wanted.com
