  • Yes, it may look like a massive, tame sleepy mountain lion, but is really an extreme close-up of our small Abyssinian cat Hazel, (also known as Kitty), my family dared me to upload the image, probably because it’s a real contrast to my usual subject matter! Oh-my-god I’ve uploaded a cat picture!

  • Although Bodhi sort of looks like he’s grimacing or angry, when he takes a big whiff, the act of opening the mouth and drawing up the air to the Jacobson’s organ is called the flehmen reaction. Essentially, Bodhi is opening his mouth to suck in the air into the Jacobson’s organ and take a really deep sniff of the odor.

  • This is our beautiful new addition to our family. I know you all thought it was going to be a child, but my daughter Aysha decided to add some companionship to her life the easy way. No 9 months, no loss of waistline, no additional kilo’s and definitely no stretch marks. She adopted Moet from the RSPCA in Morley- Perth- Western Australia. I am not sure what his mix is but he looks like part Abyssinian and part silver tabby. His markings are incredible. His head is a silver grey and his body is a golden brown. He has spots on his back and tiger stripes on his legs. The soles of his feet are a chocolate brown. He is 2 years old and was surrendered by a family who had three other cats as well. One of them had been diagnosed with feline HIV and was put down. The other three were tested and O.K. The family had four children and had said they couldn’t feed them any more. Moet has settled in really well and is extremely affectionate. Thanks for visiting / Taken with my Canon 40DSLR / F2.8 / Iso 400 / 1/60 sec / White balance- auto
