A fanciful depiction of the psyche of a Replicant, which has the form of a human, yet the soul of blasphemous creation, a Golem, a Frankenstein, a tormented being, anxious and deranged, knowing its time is short and its end inevitable. The spider patterning exudes the replicant’s un-empathic nature, the thing that separates them from humans. If you haven’t, check out Philip K. Dick’s Novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. It is brilliant. See also:

The bus pulled away from the curb, jabbed into traffic and was gone in a cloud of gray smoke. I turned to cross the street and glanced at an advertisement for a late night comedy show on the plastic bus stop enclosure. The man’s face was revealed in the glare of passing cars, neon lights and the sunlight. It stared out or rather away, in that it was a mirrored image. He stood behind the bus stop next to a grocery cart that overflowed with brown, black and gray items that were undistinguisable. I didn’t really want to look that closely. I was sure it would smell bad. Yet his face had the stoic, proud and self-righteous distain of a General or nobleman who commandeered an army of slaves. I tried not to catch his eye. But suddenly he peered past the reflection, past the trash, past the smoke, past the overgrown ivy that plastered itself onto a crumbling rock wall, past the frozen stares of Holiday tourists, past the school children looking for trouble and sex and music and free food, past the mature shopping women who took heavy steps in tall, thick boots, past the tree trunk with the heart shape carved into its trunk and he looked directly into his eyes. And they were mine. Then he looked away. And so did I.
The reconstruction of self from outside perceptions. If one tries to build a persona based on other people’s perceptions of Self, one may be faced with a Frankenstein-ization of self that can distort beyond recognition the true Self inside. This bogus persona, a mumbo-jumbo of perceptions, opinions, sick mutilations of character, well or ill intended feedback, etc., is a reductio ad absurdum case based on fleeting, stroboscopic and colour-blind views of one great Soul. Yours. Mine. One possible escape: one must look first and foremost inside one Self, then shine the light from the inside out, so as to never let the dark get inside. —-—-—— Bogus Persona was featured in / CORE [C.O.R.E] group / and / Freedom In Words and ART group

Though thoughts, deep-rooted in my heart, / Like pine-trees dark and high, / Subdue the light of noon, and breathe / A low and ceaseless sigh; This memory brightens o’er the past, / As when the sun, concealed / Behind some cloud that near us hangs / Shines on a distant field.
