Some barns in the sunset. :) This is another photoshop creation. I mirrored a photo and texturized the bottom half to make it look like a reflection. :)

A pseudo-abstract. A townscape, some where, some when…. I wanted to try my first dual colour painting. I’d only been painting a few months, when I created this. No outlines or edges, merely various grades of tones and various dilutions of prussian blue and burnt umber.

Uploaded by way of celebration: That today I reached the grand milestone of 10,000 page views since I joined RB just 8 months or so ago. As you might have noticed, I’ve not uploaded much of late. I’ve done a bunch of new stuff over the past few months, but I’ve been hoarding it away for the BIG re-launch of my folio website / ... Such is the way things go, my work & day to day eating/sleeping/living commitments only leaves me scattered bits of time for the “me-stuff”, notably just now, my site. ...So here’s a sneak preview of a new stuff. I’d be really pleased to hear your thoughts :o)
During a visit to the school were I do volunteer work. I was in a 1st grade class were the kids were working with watercolors. I had so much fun helping the kids and watching some of the kids use more water than paint that left their art paper dripping. But they were having so much more fun than the other kids. A couple of days later I noticed the art from the kids who used a lot of water, turned out just as great as the rest of the kids. The point in art is to have fun while creating your masterpieces. Yes I had fun creating this piece.

Aeramis is a dry, arid world. Very little water, but when it rains, watch out. The sunsets and dawns are pretty spectacular and the plant life is sparse. Take lots of sunblock and water if you plan to vacation a few days on this world. DO NOT go during the dust storm season. It’s a very gritty experience. ;o) This image is a darker time of day and a darker storm coming. :o) Created in Apophysis 3D Hack. Postwork in Photoshop. Created 4 layers using smudge to create the sky and mountains in background. Used Nik filters for gradient changes on one layer. Saturation and Contrasts on another. One of my first experimental images with fantasy painting and fractals. Featured in: / Digital Brushstrokes 2009 / ImageWriting Dec 2009
Abstract collage combining natural and geometric forms. Watercolor and ink on full sheet Arches 300 lb cold pressed paper, 30×22.
scribbling with a watercolor crayon, floating the water while rolling the paper…does the color make it “more” or the water moving thru the paper…letting the essence come to fruition on its own in the moment….I can never plan it or its too contrived for me at least with this medium. some borders contain acrylics. I did this at a time when feeling trapped in some repetative thought and just wanted to let it all go.. 6×8 in. on arches 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper
