happiness scale daily I am shooting for 11.. not crazy.. but a way to feel good that feels solid and earthy and funny and joyful that makes my heart sing.. as I sing every day and upon awakening from bed.. I smile for one to two minute with eyes closed / 10… yep.. solid.. 11 being the goal.. xxx ME ABSTRACT AND AMAZED: /

This image was shot using 35 mm colour transparency film then chemically cross processed (e6 to c41), doing this can give you lovely green hues. The original analogue photograph was then scanned and only the cubed effect was achieved using photoshop. Some cubes were also slightly desaturated with photoshop too.

In my most recent series: ‘Face Navigation’ , I have used the fluidity of watercolour painting to express a personal perception of self and others. There is an awareness of the universal human condition through facial expression, and in some cases I create a progression of images, exploring the changing perception of a person by deconstructing facial recognition. As there is a shift over time in attitude or mood, there is a corresponding shift in visual interpretation. Sizes variable, average sizes 250×102 mm. Oil on stretched canvas 900×1300 mm Top 10 in a Challenge in the Group SA Rainbow Nation Dedicated to Roney, who lived with his little brother on the streets in São Paulo and was tragically murdered in 2008 at the age of 12. Their lives have been pretty much guided by fate and fortune, like most other kids on the streets of the big cities in the world. An unstable childhood due to their mother’s alcoholism, has led them to end up on the streets full-time. It is unacceptable that 21st century children are still at risk on the streets. Carf Brazil, was established by Gregory J. Smith in São Paulo in 1993, to benefit the street children of Brazil by defending their rights and offering them a dignified solution so that they could live and grow within a family-oriented context and healthy social environment. As Grerory quotes, Albert Einstein said: _The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil; but because of the people who don’t do anything about it. Sales from this painting will be donated to CARF who assists in the rehabilitation of street children in Diadema, São Paulo, Brazil. Read this poem Golden Boy written by Rhenastarr, who was inspired by this painting.
