Photographic based digital montage – Feb, 2008. Created over several hrs 2 nights this week (suffering from concussion) from an accidental fall over the wk’end. Photoshop montage combining digital shots of jewels, samples of vintage wallpaper and added drawn elements. Fifty layers retouched, blended, filtered, colour & tonal curve adjusted. Considering using the design as a furniture (upholstering) velvety fabric for a small round bedroom foot stool.

This image was shot using 35 mm colour transparency film then chemically cross processed (e6 to c41), doing this can give you lovely green hues. The original analogue photograph was then scanned and only the cubed effect was achieved using photoshop. Some cubes were also slightly desaturated with photoshop too.

one of my more popular photomanipulations… the idea behind this, is a single mother and her baby, desperate for a better life than they are currently living. the mother then takes their predicament into their own hands, jumping up to the beautiful sky in order to fulfill their dreams and subsequently “colouring them in”. / or at least it was something like that. featured on the arts page, thankyou! comments and favourites very much appreciated!

Mixed Media / The face was a photo, a portrait of the wonderful friend for her birtday… .I painted over it. I know it’s still a bit sketchy , I may refine it someday when I have free time though.
