Acrylic on Canvas 1m x 1m. This started out as a self portrait, bright and happy like many of my figurative works, but as I continued I was thinking of the concept of authenticity. Suddenly I was squirting charcoal paint over the canvas. My subconscious took over from the conscious. I am so excited about this work. I feel it to be unconventional in regards to my usual style, although I haven’t yet settled on a specific style. This work has inspired me to go on a quest into the realms of the landscapes of the mind and soul and explore the archeypes of humanity. I feel I am about to embark on an exciting journey. Enjoy, comment freely and all my thanks as always – Carmen ; ) (PLEASE VIEW LARGER VERSION… ENJOY THE SYMBOLS & INTERPRET AT YOUR LEISURE)
