I titled my series of bark abstracts, Every Tree Tells a Story. I am always interested in knowing what you, the viewer, project into my photographs. I see many images in my bark, stone and plant abstract photographs and share what I perceive when dominant images appear or evoke a narrative that is informative, humorous or is part of a series that tells a story. In Equine Abstract, I see the profile of the head of a horse that dominates the photograph. The shape of his head, protruding nostril and eye appear on the left side of the photograph. The texture and color enhance the image of a powerful and majestic horse.
Pumpkin and Crystal saying hello. Thought it was a sweet moment. Usually they are moody and fussing with each other. :) A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this print will go to White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue. www.whitebirdapps.org. Let me know if you have any issues with the link! Thanks, Mechelle

Onward, upward…. *Important note for potential buyers: be aware that this is a flat image and does not take into account the natural curvature of the material when placed on us humans. The edges of the design will sit a little further round towards the sides when it’s actually being worn. Copyright 2009.
One I did a while back! Encaustic A3 done on card with just the iron. Original sold ages ago!
Inspiration is sometimes hard to find so when I met John through another friend here at RB little did I know the muse was ready to kick my tail feathers and get me creating again! (grin) ... I took a look at John’s website and WOW .. do take a look .. definitely worth your time (smile) ... well anyone who’s been watching my work probably knows by now that I have a passion for patterns in math and art for a long time (in fact since I was a kid (grin)) ... so when I say John’s work inspired me I did not mean I wanted to copy how he does his work .. oh no … when I saw his work besides the intrinsic beauty of his images I could see patterns forming in my mind’s eye …. John graciously allowed me to use his website image (up front and center on his home page) Megalong Valley Campfires, Triptych to torture and mutate into this image …ok ok it was after doing it and showing it to him that he saw no problem with claiming it as my own since it bore no resemblance to his work .. (grin) .. I had offered to add info about his work/site etc. since he was my inspiration and the original was his (smile) ... so here it is …. I may at a future time add a mini-story for this image … just uninspired tonight since I only had four hours sleep last night .. yup playing away and lost track of time (grin) .. if I do perhaps I’ll also put it in a journal entry so all interested will know I did (big smile) Featured Art – June 2009 – RedBubble Group – Art in Math Extensive work done in Gimp and PaintShopPro. Acrylic on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. 14” x 11” This horse is a modern day version of the fantastic primitive horse images that are painted in caves in Lascaux France. Some of these images have been dated back to 30,000 years ago. How sophisticated the artists were in those ancient times!

Abstract macro of paint and rust on some old mining equipment taken in Bisbee, Arizona by JD Brummer for As Eye See Photography.
Acrylic painting in an abstract realism style on canvas board panel. Inspired by owning and riding horses in my childhood, growing up in the country life in Texas. This artwork has been FEATURED in “Cee’s Fun Artsy Friends” group AND in the “Art At It’s Best” group! :) Here’s how it will look matted and framed with a cream colored mat. / Here’s the original, hanging in my studio: /
This is a rock abstract that appears to / be a very rustic and weathered home of the male figure on the right sitting down facing his small horse with orange mane on the left. The horse is his best companion and recently he found a blanket to comfort his friend on chilly nights. There is small window on the upper left of this colorful and textured scene. I am always interested in your perceptions of my painterly “rorschachs.” Please view in the large format to appreciate the imagery.
Digital art designed birthday card.
Digital art inspired by growing up owning and riding horses. Some of my favorite childhood memories center around horses. :)
